21.01.2022 Hi everyone! Just an Update on our business during these ongoing tough times. Our shop has now reopened for business with a few restrictions and changes. We are looking forward to supplying you with Ballarat's best security and screen doors and are taking our health and yours very seriously. Our hygiene practices may seem stricter than other companies but we make no apologies for this! 1. Current trading hours are 10am-4pm, Monday- Friday only 2. Our front door is locked. Th...is is so we can control the number of people in the shop at any one time. For assistance, just knock on the door and we will let you in! 3. Hand sanitiser and disposable gloves are available at the doorway. Please use these as you enter the shop. Crosses have been taped to the floor to indicate safe distancing. 4. We are short staffed at the moment, so please be patient. We are attending to jobs as quickly as we can but some delays or rescheduling may be required. 5. Our staff have all been instructed on safe practices for themselves and our clients. They are equipped with all the necessary PPE they require. Please let us know if you have any concerns about our staff. 6. PLEASE, if you are experiencing cold or flu symptoms, fever or other illness do not come into our store. We are happy to deal with you over the phone or by email. We have a staff member who is completing cancer treatment at the moment who is immune compromised and we do not want to risk his health. Please observe correct distancing whilst in our store and sneeze or cough into your elbow. 7. Staff are cleaning and disinfecting the store constantly in an effort to keep the environment germ-free. Please do not handle stock unnecessarily. You will notice some changes in store. The shop is freshly painted and we now have a new counter in store to serve you better. 14.01.2022 Do you have a Pivot Door? These large doors operate on a top and bottom pivot rather than traditional hinges. It can be difficult to fit a security door to these as there is usually not enough room on the framework. GOOD NEWS! We specialise in this type of difficult installation and can come up with a solution for you. Our designs are well considered and practical and as you can see from the photos, they look amazing. Don't go without a security door just because others have said its "too hard". Call us today to discuss the options!

11.01.2022 Whilst masks are no longer mandatory in retail stores, we will continue to wear them for the foreseeable future. We encourage our customers to do so too and have disposable masks available at the front door for your use. We will also continue to offer hand sanitiser and disposable gloves and our store is cleaned and sanitised on a daily basis.

10.01.2022 Christmas is just around the corner so don't leave it too late to order your security doors! We will be closing at 3pm on Friday the 21st of December and will be closed until Monday 7th of January for our annual Christmas break. Last orders for pre-Christmas installation will be this Friday 23rd of November unless all installations slots are booked out prior. After Friday, whilst we will make every effort to assist you, we can not guarantee installation before Christmas.... 07.01.2022 Hello all! What strange times we are living in at the moment. We wish to thank our customers for their patience and understanding over the past few weeks and take this chance to provide an update. Although our shop is still closed for the time being, we are now able to conduct a limited number of measures and installs of security doors. These are only available on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the moment, with priority given to customers who have existing orders in our system. We are happy to take bookings for the next available time upon receipt of your deposit. Our office is manned part time by Dani, and she is also working from home at other times. We advise that BALLARAT DOORS N GATES is not, and never has been, in anyway associated with Ballarat Windows and Doors. We have been trading in Ballarat for almost 40 years now and have no intention of ceasing any time soon! How have we survived when so many of our competitors are struggl...ing? It's simple really. Sensible business practices. The building industry is an extremely competitive market, based on low margins and traditionally offering free quotes, free measures and free services in order to beat out competitors for business. We realised some time ago that this business model was not conducive to running a successful business and made some difficult decisions about how to structure our business. As a result, we are still in business. We may not be the cheapest, nor the quickest, but we guarantee you will get the best doors we are able to supply and a top quality installation. 05.01.2022 Gotta love a good rumour! Contrary to what customers are being told by a local hardware chain, we are NOT closing down or going out of business! What you will see are some changes to our store as we undertake a long overdue paint out and refit. We will be changing our trading name to BALLARAT SECURITY doors in the next month to better reflect our business focus and direction and our shop fit will be in line with this update. We have been owned by one family for over 40 years and Richard, Dani and Chris will continue to offer you the best security doors in Ballarat for the foreseeable future! 05.01.2022 **UPDATE** Due to the fires in NSW, some of our deliveries have been delayed slightly as the Pacific Highway is closed between Brisbane and Sydney. . We do not anticipate any changes to our install schedule at this stage but we will keep you up to date and contact any customers who we may need to reschedule. Let's hope the fires are brought under control soon.
