18.01.2022 Karumba Anglers Classic - you don't even have to fish to be a big winner:- We can now confirm the following Nomination Prizes 1. $3000 cash SENIOR NOMINATION PRIZE - this will be drawn from all senior nominations regardless of whether you fish or not - draw will be around 9pm Sunday evening and YES YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO COLLECT THIS PRIZE. After a name is drawn they have 5 minutes to present their ID card in person (no proxies or stand ins accepted) - otherwise this is ...redrawn until a winner collects..... All other presentations and prizes do not require attendance. 2. $250 Junior (ages 6 yrs to 15yrs inclusive) Nomination prize - attendance not required to collect. 3. Junior aged 0 to 5yrs inclusive - Nomination Prize Pack to value of $100 Plus we are going to be running seafood tray raffles and hundred boards. Bar opens 5pm and Junior presentations start approx 6pm Hot Food will be available ..... NO BYO please....
12.01.2022 Nominations are now open - you can pick up forms and info pack from Ash's Cafe after 4.30pm today till 7pm tonight - or you can nominate all day tomorrow at our Nomination Table outside Karumba Pharmacy - from 9am to 5pm Friday 2nd October and then Sunset Tavern from around 5pm to 8pm Friday night. Nominations are then available 7am to 11am on Saturday 3rd October at the weigh in area at Karumba Recreation Club. All funds are supporting the Gulf Barramundi Restocking Association - Fish for a Fishing Future - have a great weekend of fun, fishing and family in the Gulf this weekend!

02.01.2022 PLEASE NOTE - COVID EVENT PLANNING .....with the Karumba Anglers Classic presentations on Sunday evening 4th October from 5pm - we are required to operate under a COVID 19 Safe Event Checklist - therefore please take note of the following requirements from the checklist and keep in mind - the event is being run 100% by volunteers and these requirements have been put in place by Queensland State Government...simple steps to keep everyone fit and well.... You will be asked to f...ill in a COVID attendance register - assistance will be provided - name/phone/email - upon arriving and a stamp provided to indicate completion. Anyone feeling unwell - and/or showing any symptoms of COVID19 must not attend the event - all age groups are covered by this requirement. Volunteers assisting the event may refuse entry of anyone with a cough for example or other symptoms. Social Distancing will be required - inside and in the outdoor areas of the Club during the event - and chairs and tables set out to achieve this requirement. There will be no seating available inside the Karumba Recreation Club - once served at the bar - all attendees will be asked to be seated outside whilst drinking and eating. Sanitiser will be provided at various stations - near entrances/exits, toilets and the bar and food areas - please use and practice good personal hygiene.
