25.01.2022 When the work is being done where are these blokes - visiting Bob Brown at Dunnsville. Better find a few gold nuggets guys, we get a share for free use of the Mens Shed trailer.

25.01.2022 We have our sea container on site. Machines, tools, supplies, etc can now be moved into the shed safely. Thanks Reef Group (Brad) for your support and generosity and Truck driver Steve who did a great job in difficult circumstances. What a great company and we dont hesitate in saying that if anyone wants a sea container moved Reef should be your first choice.

24.01.2022 Regrettably because of the ongoing Coronavirus situation and the increasing Government restrictions on group gatherings, not to mention concern for the health and well being of our age demographic, shed general weekly meetings are suspended until further notice. It is our aim to continue with some activities requiring limited numbers such as sealing the workshop floor, further fitout, unloading the sea container and moving some machinery and supplies into the shed. Volunteers... will be sought when conditions are right, requirements are purchased and dates and times are organised. Our apology for not being able to deliver the small projects that we were committed to do. Stay well folks and keep the faith until we can get back together.

24.01.2022 The guys are at Bayswater Bunnings this morning cooking up a feast. Come on down and enjoy the food and the warm reception. Notice the new Ryobi fans on the back wall. Well done guys.

24.01.2022 Waterwise garden is finished, looks great and sets the corner off nicely, great rains to bed everything down. Bonus, no plants have mysteriously disappeared.

23.01.2022 Hive of activity today, signage up and concrete pad laid for the back patio.

22.01.2022 Floor painted with concrete sealer. Toilet block on Wednesday lots of "cooks" should be much revelry and banter and Im sure a bit of paint may go astray. We should make it a Fringeworld event. At least we will have cold drinks and somewhere to keep our food thanks to a magnificent fridge/freezer given to us by "Nemone" from Bassendean. Thank you it is really appreciated.

22.01.2022 Great to see the Bassendean Markets up and running again. Great weather and lots of people. Makes the 5.30am start worthwhile.

22.01.2022 Havent moved into the shed yet and already nefarious activity is taking place. Water meter, valves and copper piping got stolen last night.

21.01.2022 We are able to meet for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic descended upon us. The meeting is intended to be low key to catch up with fellow members as well as to catch up with Shed news. Tuesday 16 June, 10am at the shed. Anyone coming along will need to comply with COVID-19 requirements including social distancing.

21.01.2022 Had morning tea at the Augusta Mens Shed, great bunch of blokes, nice shed, good machinery and they do some very arty work in wood and metal for funds. Caught lots of fish yesterday.

21.01.2022 Final enhancements to the waterside garden and we now have a fantastic front garden. Thanks Water Authority.

20.01.2022 Bit of a team effort and a fun time painting the front of the shed. Getting it ready for the mural. Lots of talk about the impact of the virus on families and shed issues, however, the guys are still in high spirits.

17.01.2022 Its a shame the Mens Shed is shut down, we could knock up a few of these. Keep your spirits up everyone.

17.01.2022 Wind In The Willows kids xmas event at Sandy Beach Reserve, the guys were under the pump again with the wind (got away from the willows) stopping the barbecue plates getting hot. Magnificent effort guys, santa was a hit and I think everyone had a great time. Sitting down having a cup of tea at home and its pouring down.

15.01.2022 Workshop internal insulated walls are going up in a very professional manner by Askin contractors. Equipment, machinery and supplies should start being put into the workshop next week. Might need some help.

14.01.2022 Tight squeeze, but a great lift/move by Terry's Crane Hire and the sea container is in place. Thanks Terry for your generousity. If anyone needs anything lifted, please give Terry's Crane Hire a call, they are local and very helpful.

13.01.2022 These two magpies must have heard that the compliance inspection was ok so they have moved in. Just the lease to be signed and we join them.

13.01.2022 Not sure if this is related to crop circles and aliens or just the local yahoos. Always something going on in our carpark, council wont allow a fence, maybe we should put a chain across the enttrance.

13.01.2022 Big day in the shed, lots of guys turned up and put in a great effort to break-up and store the Mrs Macs pallets, empty the sea container and put all the stuff into the shed. We also had our first sausage sizzle in the shed and found our old sign. Few sore muscles tonight.

13.01.2022 Had a great visit with the Albany Mens shed. What a fantastic set-up. Lots of room, machinery, equipment, activities, about 150 members, 30 women, open 5 days a week, ladies day Wedneday.

12.01.2022 Another xmas and we are still not in the shed. So close this year. Merry xmas to all our supporters. Look forward to seeing you all at the opening function.

11.01.2022 Just a low key lease signing and handing over the keys event at the shed this afternoon. However, a lot of excited members turned up. Ted who started the 11 year process to get a shed, came up from Mandurah to also be involved. Many hands went up at todays meeting to be part of the various working groups to do the numerous tasks necessary to make it a working shed. A grand opening function will be organised at a later date with invitations going out to the many people who have been involved to date or may have an interest in the shed being an asset to the members and the community. What a great historical day, thanks everyone.

11.01.2022 Bobcat preparing the garden area, well done Dave Kelly and the Water Authority.

11.01.2022 Hope 2020 is great year for all of our supporters. Lots of challenges for us "bring em on" well turn them into opportunities. First up a sausage sizzle at Bayswater Bunnings on New Years day. Hope to get the keys to the new shed early in January, then the work begins to make our shed the best in WA.

10.01.2022 Tight squeeze, but a great lift/move by Terrys Crane Hire and the sea container is in place. Thanks Terry for your generousity. If anyone needs anything lifted, please give Terrys Crane Hire a call, they are local and very helpful.

10.01.2022 Carpark lines and markings done. Bit concerned about the heat in the shed. Nearly unbearable at 4.30 pm today. The young plumber installing the toilets had to keep going outside for a breather from the combination of heat and silastic fumes. I think well only be opening up until lunchtime for the summer.

09.01.2022 Almost ready to move in. Power on, water on, toilet block nearly finished, rubbish gone, temporary fencing gone and yard cleaned up. Paving and painting still to do. Lease tomorrow night and looking positive. Tradespeople have gone over and above in this extraordinary heat. Thanks Outdoor World.

09.01.2022 Workshop floor has been sealed. Great job by Matt from Eagle Eye coatings. We can start putting in some benches and machinery next week.

08.01.2022 On holiday. Some inspiration for the mural that is going to be painted on the front of the mens shed.

07.01.2022 Formal building inspection today. Looking really good. Couple of things to be finished and documentation provided. Bit of work, luck, goodwill and lease to be signed and keys handed over to us for possession by next week.

07.01.2022 Well here we are at Bayswater Bunnings, things are a bit slow, come on down and enjoy.

06.01.2022 One of our members found this listing on Gumtree. It was dated October 2019. No one from the Mens Shed has put this up, it is not how we do things and we are angry and upset for anyone that was duped by it. We are following this matter up with Gumtree complaints.

06.01.2022 Baptism of fire today fever pitch cooking and serving at the Bayswater Bunnings santa party today. Rest time, well done guys.

06.01.2022 Yay!!! Bunnings sausage sizzle is back, look forward to seeing you all at Bunnings Bayswater on Sunday August 2. We need your support and we will keep you fed and entertained.

04.01.2022 Xmas came early, the Lease was endorsed by Council tonight. Thanks Councillors, CEO and Council staff. Look forward to the signing ceremony and setting the shed in motion. The community will not be disapointed.

04.01.2022 Good to see something happening around the shed. The Waterwise garden planning should be soon.

03.01.2022 Hotmixing the carpark today, those guys earn their money. Nearly there, bit of finishing work still to do, electricity turned on next week and the lease is looking positive. Wow, guys keep turning up for a look while Im standing here.

01.01.2022 The boys picked up some useful wood from Mrs Macs for the guys to play with. Well done guys and thanks Mrs Macs.
