Handmade items & cards are also required. We are yet to formerly announce another 2 initiatives we are handling in partnership with 2 very worthy organisations. 1 is vulnerable elderly the other children fleeing domestic violence. We will have approx 8+00 packs to deliver in December & all need Xmas items. There are still many people in our community that need our support and Christmas will be extra hard for them this year. Every Christmas items adds up. Drop points are in East Brighton & Bentleigh.

21.01.2022 AS you may be aware,have an urgent request for 200 covid comfort packs from Family Life for children fleeing domestic violence, plus 600 other packs for vulnerable elderly & women's fleeing domestic violence. These have to be delivered in a few weeks. We are mainly after donations for the children packs. SOCIAL OVERVIEW -Curfew continues each night from 9pm-5am (exempt for work, caregiving and medical reasons) - PLAYGROUNDS REOPEN! The reasons to leave your home are restricted to 5km and below. 1 Shopping for food or other essential items (one person per household, once a day) 2 To provide care giving, for compassionate reasons or to seek medical treatment; 3 For exercise (outdoor exercise 2 hour day and with your kids) 4 Work or study, only if you are in a permitted work or study industry. -Intimate partner visits still allowed outside of 5kms. -Meet up to 2 people outdoors from two households. - Those living alone can have one chosen visitor. EDUCATION & CHILDCARE Childcare: - Only for permitted workers. Schools: - Remote learning to continue, unless exemptions apply. WORK & INDUSTRY - Only permitted industries with COVID-SAFE plans. SHOPPING & FOOD - Shopping: 1 person per household. - Hospitality: takeaway and delivery only. - Retail: essentials only, with click & collect continuing. Rules continue. Ourkitchentable.org.au kindly donated some mugs & we had some pamper toiletries over from a past donation so the result is a lovely surprise for the staff who have been under added pressure the past few months.
