23.01.2022 Today is #Bringyourdogtoworkday. This is me and my boy Rocky at work! Having Rocky in the office today reduced our stress and improved productivity.

22.01.2022 Insecure work is crap in normal times, but it’s a lot worse during COVID-19 times. The government has announced support for insecure workers. See below for details.

18.01.2022 It was great attending a demonstration alongside workers from the Casino Canberra and the United Workers Union. In a time of mass layoffs and heightened unemployment we need to stand with workers to protect their rights.

18.01.2022 Woo hoo Molonglo Valley is getting a new emergency services station I got a look at the two new fire trucks yesterday and talk about the plans Mick Gentleman MLA and ACT Labor has to deliver a brand new Molonglo Station. I’m pretty excited. Plus some of the 99 new firefighters that will be recruited will work out of the station. ... 14.01.2022 This month is platypus month and the best time to spot them around Canberra. So go for a wander around the local waterways to see how many you can spot. ACT Parks and Conservation Service and Waterwatch are calling for volunteers to count them. If you'd like to get involved email [email protected]

13.01.2022 A disgraceful decision by the Morrison government, twisting the knife further into the backs of retail and hospitality workers. Evidence flies in the face of this ignorant ideology which believes this action creates jobs. Cutting penalty rates does nothing except weaken the economy and put pressure on already struggling individuals and families.

13.01.2022 What a great way to start a Friday. I helped Yvette Berry hand over the keys so the new Stromlo Leisure Centre and Pool could open tomorrow. It’s a pretty spectacular pool and gym....plus the views from all the windows are amazing. Can’t wait to be swimming laps there and using the gym real soon.

12.01.2022 More great news for works in the ACT.

12.01.2022 My previous rescue dog Ben, who has now passed away, asked me to build a dog park in Weston Creek if I was elected.... Well he did live to see Duffy dog park open, but has missed seeing all the amazing dogs who use it on a regular basis. So Yesterday I took Rocky, my beautiful new Domestic Animal Service dog, to announce upgrades to Duffy and Tuggeranong dog parks. Rocky can't wait to play amongst the new shrubs trees and grass once the upgrades are completed. ... https://www.facebook.com/852247174883869/videos/1018506301591288

10.01.2022 Keeping a 1.5 physical distance between each other is still important as ever in stopping the spread of COVID19 in the ACT. https://www.covid19.act.gov.au/stay-safe-and-healthy

10.01.2022 Today I was out in the community having a chat until the rain and hail made it a bit yucky. So decided to pop in to my lovely friend Paul’s cafe Hyde Away Cafe at the Warramanga shops. The food was awesome and the service is impeccable. Thanks Paul for letting us warm up and fill our tummies.

08.01.2022 Today is #EqualPayDay which marks the 59 additional days from the end of the financial year women have to work, on average, to earn the same as men. According to the Workplace Gender Equality Agency the national gender pay gap remains at 14% for full time workers, which means that men earn an extra $253.60 per week. The COVID 19 pandemic has had a disproportionate impact on women and could affect women's long-term economic security and rates of workforce participation.... So today I will #KeepMindingTheGap by continuing to fight for equity. #EqualPayDay

08.01.2022 Today my motion passed which called on Minister Suzanne Orr to extend the ACT Portable Long Service Leave Scheme to include hairdressers and other industries. She’s excited because she gets to have her say in the future of her home town. ... 07.01.2022 Had a chat with Andrew from Finlease the other day. He was telling me how I can help protect workers by continuing infrastructure projects in Canberra. A re-elected Labor government is committed to deliver on its promise to build a CIT in Woden and the SPIRE project.

06.01.2022 This is about cracking down on dodgy developers who cut corners and leave buyers to foot the bill. The use of public certifiers will give prospective buyers more confidence about the quality of a building.
