08.01.2022 2019 VFBV Senior State Championships Missing Hydrant Alert - Update 22:54 Hydrant Recovered Stawell Fire Brigade's competition hydrant has gone missing and may ...have been picked up by mistake this afternoon. It was last sighted in their tent this afternoon and is scribed with the brigade name. Could all brigades check their gear in case you have an extra bit of gear in your trailer. Contact Molly Willis for more details. Message from Molly: Hi. The coach Jason received a phone call. Someone has handed it in and hydrant is in an office I think at the track at Bendigo. Jason is working out how to collect sometime this week. Thank you for sharing the posts for us.

03.01.2022 2019 VFBV Senior State Championships Mullet sacrificed to aid Cancer Research One of the traditions of the Championships is relaxing after the Closing Ceremony... and recuperating with friends. A few stories from the past year's firefighting efforts, stories from the distant past or the happenings over the weekend. It is also a tradition to raise some money for a good cause. This year funds were raised in support of DMO Gavin Hore's fundraising for Tour de Cure and the Peter Mac ride which will take place from 17 November to 23 November 2019. Making a significant contribution, Jackson Dargaville sacrificed his Mullet is suppot of cancer research. Some might think he left it on the track during the Championship Fours but it was sighted at the Closing Ceremony. It was, in fact, a pair of scissors afterwards that helped raise funds to fight cancer. Well done to Jackson and thanks to all who dropped a coin or note into the collection tins. If you wish to support Gavin's ride in November, keep an eye on the Tour de Cure website or message Gavin direct. https://tourdecure.com.au/tours/peter-mac-ride/ #Tdc #PMac Photo Credits: Martin Flanagan & VFBV
