21.01.2022 As with a lot of joint problems it’s not always structural. The pain location in a lot of cases is a great indicator of which muscle group to target. And yes ‘Icing can help’ followed by heat (don’t recommend jumping into the microwave). Come in before Christmas for your assessment.

Merry Christmas I really hope as 2018 comes to an end you’ll have time out with family and loved ones and get to reflect on all the good things of the year that was? My last piece of advice for 2018 here’s a pic from a local Phsyio 5 things to avoid with Patellofemoral or knee cap pain. Looks great and even sounds better but guys please learn to think and trust what works for you? Point 4 ‘avoid hands on therapies’, in essence he’s saying w...e physio’s are more knowledgeable and more qualified than those hands on therapies so be warned. This is the same guy I referred a state soccer player to with advanced Osgood-Schlatter disease, the young guy was in extreme knee pain. Knowing he wants to get back to his sport ASAP I referred him thinking what could we do together? Nope, this Phsyio said don’t go back to that guy I’ll fix you. 6 months later I run into his mum, she apologised for not being back but her sons knees were even worse could they come back. Long story short, within 6 visits he was conservatively 90% pain free. Moral of the story I believe all health professionals have a place and how much more could we do for people if we work together. But unfortunately it’s not the case today in our society. So trust your body and what works for you and remember that one health professional does not have all the answers.
