18.01.2022 Dear Darlinghurst, It is with mixed emotions that we inform you that 'bibim, to mix.' will be closing it's doors for the last time on the 3rd of june - exactly 5 years since opening in 2011. What a ride it has been. Blood, sweat and tears rewarded with so many loyal customers that will be missed. I hope we achieved what we set out to do : to bring authentic tasting Korean food to Darlinghurst. Onwards to the next stage of our lives, and we thank you all so much from the bo...ttom of our hearts for all the support and encouragement we have received over the years. Kamsa hamnida. Rice cake soup and mini savoury pancakes, staples today whilst everyone counts themselves one year older. Time to call your parents and wish them good fortune & happy new year :)

13.01.2022 Happy Australia Day! We are closed today as we celebrate what it means to us to be Australian. Lunch with friends where bring a plate means food as diverse as Mediterranean antipasto, salami and soft cheeses. Butter chicken and naan. Buffalo wings, weiners, marsala, koftas with loads of garlic sauce and of course, kimchi. All washed down with copious amounts of pale ale and barossa shiraz. Where else but Australia, mate?

10.01.2022 Gee... the toughest part of my job. Sampling 3 different makgeolli brands. Digging the sun hui brand with its nice mellow flavour. Marketed as rice wine (its actually closer to an unfiltered beer) it is the humble farmers brew. Traditionally carried to the fields by wives to give strength and refresh the men in the fields, it is full of vitamins and minerals, fiber and lactobacillus. The older generation swear by its anti-aging properties. ... Im sure my uncle would have enjoyed a bevvie or three before he was taken from us during the Korean War. Heres to all those who never made it back home this ANZAC Day. Kom-bae!

07.01.2022 We will be closed on Friday 25th for ANZAC Day as i pay my respects to those who have served our country. More than 17,000 Australians served in the Korean War of which 339 made the ultimate sacrifice. Sadly their deeds are mostly unknown of here in Australia. Commonly referred to as the "forgotten war" lets remember them and all other diggers past and present this ANZAC Day - Lest we forget.

06.01.2022 Enjoying an early mothers day dinner at mums and we are the ones that get spoiled. Grew up eating like a king and took meals like this for granted. In appreciation for all the mums out there, well be shouting a free glass of white wine to all the special ommas on mothers day this coming sunday. Oh and excuse my mums lovely taste in table mats :)
