15.01.2022 Pears showing heat damage, in the form of sunburn, consequence of multiple days over 40degrees. what's makes it easier for the tree to cope is the bio dynamic soils and the humus which holds the moisture in. The bio Dynamic trees seem to disperse the heat through their Sap flow, restricting the potential long term damage of excessive heat. 07.01.2022 Spot the lace wing. This is a beneficial insect which lays an egg on a 3mm stilt which stands on the leaf or fruit. The egg hatches into a larvae which feeds on other pests that attack the fruit such as Sanjos scale and mealy bug.
