20.01.2022 Ballarat Health Services is honoured to have received support from the Jim and Shirley Richards Trust for the purchase of devices which will further develop the... treatment of breast cancer for patients in Ballarat and surrounding regions. A tiny magnet called a Magseed and about the size of a grain of rice is inserted into the breast and then identified by the surgeon at operation by passing a hand-held magnet-finder (a magnetometer) over the area. This eliminates the need for hookwires, previously used to identify the location of tiny lesions. 19.01.2022 What a great breakfast this morning at Commerce Ballarat Bisnet Breakfast at Ballarat Golf Club. We learnt about the complexities of running a university from Prof. Helen Bartlett, Vice Chancellor of Federation University Australia and we got to help raise money for the 3BA 102.3 FM Christmas Appeal. Fantastic start to the day.
