24.01.2022 Did you know? In 2017, the NSW government decided that it would let the public name Sydneys newest ferry "What could go wrong?", you ask. "Where have I seen this before?", you ponder? ... Well, not to be outdone by our British friends, the great Australian public submitted, and subsequently voted en masse for, the name "Ferry McFerryface" To their credit, the NSW government kept their word and the ferry did actually get its famous name - for 1 brief Summer. But like all politicians, they eventually back flipped and renamed the ferry May Gibbs in early 2018. Still, Ferry McFerryface lives on in our hearts, and likely on the next online poll.

"Why not let the public decide?" said one staffer. "Genius" said another. "Youre going to regret that" said everyone with a functioning brain. ... Despite some actual fitting names being presented, a true revolutionary suggested the name "Boaty McBoatface". The internet quickly caught wind and it became the most popular name and actually won the online poll. The British government didnt play ball and decided to name the vessel the RRS Sir David Attenborough instead. However, one of its automated submarines had the glorious honour of being named Boaty McBoatface. Boaty McBoaface is now being used to search under the Antarctic ice at depths of 6,000 metres. Who couldve seen that coming....

Lateral marks (red & green marks) are not always placed in pairs, so youll need to understand which side is the safest side to pass. The most expensive yacht in the world - 'History Supreme' - is worth roughly $4.8 Billion and is covered in 100,000kg of gold, platinum and jewels and has a statue made from genuine Tyrannosaurus Rex bones. The yacht is 30 metres long and also contains wall feature in the master bedroom that is made from *meteoric stone* - think about that for a minute. ... Owners and operators should be aware of the Exclusion Zones, speed limits, minimum wash requirements and anchoring restrictions that will apply on Sydney Harbour....
