20.01.2022 Here's a few pics from our recent Great Ocean Walk 110km wander - 5 nights/6 days - walking from Apollo Bay to the Twelve Apostles.
19.01.2022 We've just rolled into Katherine after completing the epic 62km (5 days) Jatbula Walking Trail through the Northern Territory's Top End Nitmiluk National Park. The trail follows the route of generations of Jawoyn people, commencing at Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) it follows the western edge of the Arnhem Land escarpment to its terminus at Leliyn (Edith Falls). We walked through some of the most spectacular and ancient landscapes in Australia, which are punctuated by spring-fed rivers, which flow strong all through the dry season, offering welcome respite from the searing 40+ degree heat which the area experiences this time of year.

17.01.2022 We recently completed the 80km 4 day/3 night Gibraltar Washpool World Heritage Walk in Northern NSW. This walk takes in some spectacular World Heritage rainforest along with the region's stunning granite boulder strewn landscape. Highlights also included crystal clear mountain creeks, plunging waterfalls and spring wildflowers. The circuit walk starts and finishes at Mulligans Campground in Gibraltar Range National Park, just off the Gwydir Highway between Grafton and Glen Innes.

12.01.2022 Paid a visit to the wonderful Andrea and Tom at The Prairie Hotel. Enjoyed a great meal with other guests on the long table and camped out the back in their campgrounds.
10.01.2022 For all you Landrover nuts (Craig included), came across the original 110 used by Les Hiddins AKA The Bush Tucker Man, in the ABC tv series. It's housed in the Darwin Military Museum.
08.01.2022 Gone but not forgotten - if you have a copy of Australian Bush Pubs (1st or 2nd editions) this is all that remains of the wonderful Mary Crawley's Tattersalls Hotel at Barrigun. The pub burnt to the ground in December 2017.

03.01.2022 Monday night bush camp at the old Mary Kathleen Uranium Mine located east of Mt Isa. Camping is just off the highway at the site of the old township - and its a huge area. Uranium was mined here from 1954 to the early 1980s.
