24.01.2022 What is it like to be a Veteran who has experienced mental health issues? Veterans are an important part of the past, present and future of Bolton Clarke (formerly RSL Care + RDNS). We have been caring for veterans in the community, our retirement villages and residential care homes for over 100 years. Our service personnel dedicate their lives to serving our country, and it is our honour to serve them in their time of need. Bolton Clarke's Veteran Family Toolkit was develope...d in conjunction with the Bolton Clarke Research Institute and Altura Learning previously ACC with the support of almost 100 current and ex serving ADF members, their families and ex service organisations. The first module in our Veteran Family Toolkit explores the personal stories of four veterans, encompassing their experiences of deployment, returning to the civilian world and living with #PTSD. With an overall message of hope, each of these Veterans offer a unique insight into life after the military.

23.01.2022 Bert, Mary and Dell had 100 reasons to smile when the centenarians were honoured today at Centaur Memorial with a special morning tea to celebrate their life achievements this Seniors Week. Fellow resident Bev also joined the celebrations in honour of her late husband Michael who celebrated his 101st birthday earlier this year.

19.01.2022 Residents from Centaur Memorial aged care community have had a boot scooting good time at the Outback Spectacular Show on the Gold Coast. Residents include former jockeys and farmers who have an affinity for horses so the show was very well received. Thank you to our wonderful team of volunteers for their support in making outings like these possible.

She oversaw our Fernhill community in the 1980's and was awarded an OAM in 1994. She began her nursing career at 17, training in Victoria, going against her family's wishes that she take on secretarial work. She worked at Ferhill for over 18 years.

05.01.2022 The residents of Centaur Memorial aged care community are taking advantage of the cooler weather and recent rain to do some gardening. The garden club takes place each Thursday morning and is followed by morning tea and bingo, residents have the opportunity to come along and get their hands dirty planting a range of different flowers and plants. All are welcome as the beds are raised for easy access and volunteers are always keen to help pick the best flowers to plant.
