20.01.2022 Congratulations Michael Veitch. on your recent commission. So richly deserved. To all veterans and families of BCCAV who attend our annual memorial ceremony at The Shrine of Remembrance, they are treated to the exceptionally talented Michael Veitch as the presenter for our ceremony. His understanding and genuine knowledge of the veterans who served in Bomber Command is beyond reproach. The Chairman and executive of BCCAV sincerely thank Michael for his exemplary honourary service to BCCAV. Sadly due to the COVID 19 pandemic our ceremony this year wasn't held, however, we look forward to seeing Michael in 2021. Michaels invaluable presentation experience adds luster to all our ceremonies. He is deeply appreciated. Congratulations again Michael.

11.01.2022 Congratulations are extended from the Chairman and Executive of BCCAV to Mr. Jack Bell who at the ripe old age of 103 sets a monumental standard of attitude and care for his fellow prisoners of WW2. Jack is an inspiration to all of us through his positive behavior and attitude toward life. He is a deeply caring person who exudes greatness of character. We are privileged to call Jack a true friend of BCCAV. Jack is a giver of great inspiration to us all.

10.01.2022 Many aircrew trained in Australia and received postings to overseas theatres of war. In Don McDonald's case he was posted to England via the United States. In part 3 of his interview he describes travelling to America.

08.01.2022 Stop and think for a minute. Imagine flying through flak every night that would punch holes in your aircraft like these holes in this fuselage. Imagine the sound of metal ripping holes in the skin of your aircraft, not knowing if you will be next to wear hot metal shrapnel. Do this 30 times to survive your tour of duty night after night. Imagine the terror, not knowing if you will be the next to fall out of the sky in a fireball.
