25.01.2022 What a way to spend your Sunday Morning! Privileged to be invited on-set to not only help capture this episode, but to be able to enjoy this content LIVE For anyone who hasnt listened to Brisbane Based yet, I highly recommend it! Great people and even great knowledge-drops. ... @carterlagana X @blackroc.co @blackardt | @samueljbernard @ BLACKROC

25.01.2022 Not only do puppies help reduce stress in humans but socialising with puppies in this Critical Socialisation Period is just as important for them Puppies experience a Critical Socialisation Period from 3 to 12/14 weeks, where anything they experience once or twice in a positive way, will be something they remember for the rest of their life. So, I definitely recommend taking a break and visiting these gorgeous puppies at Collies. and Co. before they leave for their forever... homes (of which the owners have been waiting for 12-18 months!) 25.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day, Darren Black Thanks for always pushing me to succeed more than I thought was possible

25.01.2022 Earlier this month, as part of my mentorship with the Brisbane Advertising Association (BAA), I was invited to help out with their annual trivia night. It was a wonderful and rewarding night where I was able to engage with hundreds of industry members whilst raising money for Brisbane Endometriosis I would highly recommend getting involved with BAA if youre in the AMPR industry!

24.01.2022 Relationships + Support are everything Heres a few photos that I took when Sam and I went down to visit one of our first clients. Theres some big changes happening in his life and were so happy to see him chase his dreams. Without his support and trust in us in the beginning, we couldnt have come as far as weve come. So, its really awesome to see that everyones hard work and resilience is paying off. Knowing that youve built such a strong client-relationship to the ...point of just catching up for fun, as mates, brings a really good feeling. Appreciating these two humans always good chats, laughs, and fun Andrew Murray - Ray White @brigid.mcnally Focus on the people around you. Because if all else fails, your support network will be what counts the most. ( We must be heading in the right direction with a sign like that. Can you spot it?) @ Miami, Queensland

24.01.2022 ros & croquet garden party Thankful for friends who are there in times of need as well as just being there to chill, laugh, have fun, and escape from reality for just a minute. (Its certainly an interesting task to photograph your own party though. The hardest part is finding a balance between capturing the fun whilst also living it. I think I nailed it pretty well though ) @ Newmarket, Queensland, Australia

24.01.2022 The Flight = The most enjoyable part of filming for me. Even before purchasing the DJI Mavic Pro 2, I flew cheap hobby drones in my spare time Highly recommend to anyone who needs an excuse to go outdoors ... Sam B.

23.01.2022 Recently I completed my first mentorship experience as part of my Brisbane Advertising Association (BAA) Mentorship Programme This first placement was at Klyp , led by Chris B. - a full service digital agency that unifies online marketing, website development and creative design into one digital solution. I was there for two half days, where the digital team showed me what is involved in their jobs and answered any questions I had. I was also able to witness and assist wit...h the creation of podcasts, video content, and a few headshots. The team were extremely welcoming and were happy to breakdown what they do in their roles: from social media to CRO. It provided a great insight into the options that one can take when moving into the digital space. I also had the privilege to witness the creation of the On the Klypside podcast with Prudence K. and Tim S., as mentioned. This was really fun to watch and to assist Prue with the final edits. I highly recommend listening in, for anyone interesting in digital! Thank you all for being so welcoming and for walking me through your daily tasks and answering any questions I had. I look forward to the next placement!

22.01.2022 Last minute road trips to make sure we saw the sunflowers before they left for the season (the bees look so cute with the sunflowers heh )

22.01.2022 Appreciation post for film photographers out there (2nd photo) Caliph Kyburz Always impressed with how precise he is and that they always turn out well in post. That night he was testing out a new flash, which went well I believe. ... Go give him a follow if youre looking for a bit of change in scenery to your normal photographer. #film #filmphotography #brisbane

20.01.2022 These photos werent even what we were aiming to get at this shoot, but there was just really really good lighting and we couldnt help ourselves Sam Bernard

19.01.2022 Ive photographed food previously at markets etc. but this was my first time shooting food in a restaurant. Slightly nerve-racking, especially due to the low light in the main area. Lots of learnings to take from it Sam Bernard

18.01.2022 2 years together, today Over a year in business, together and almost 5 years since we met Thanks for making life so fun and for keeping me sane, especially when uni-stress is very very high ... p.s. the oldest photo I can find of us together is from 2016 (second last photo) (also love that majority of our photos together are now selfies on the drone lel)

18.01.2022 First time shooting at Queensland Raceway on Thursday night So many challenges to overcome that night. Not only was it extremely low light but most of the time, the subjects were doing 170km/hr ++ Certainly some interesting learnings from the night. All in all though, it was super fun and a great way to support Harrison G. and Jerome B. If any of you have tips for photoshoots like this, let me know @ Queensland Raceway

18.01.2022 Happy Birthday, Ma Thanks for always letting me raid your wardrobe and for supporting me with all my choices

17.01.2022 Its going to be incredibly hard to choose a builder one day, when were constantly exposed to incredible projects by our construction clients Seeing these houses though is really inspiring me to ensure I get that long term savings plan going strong so I can afford that first home ASAP What are you long term saving tips??

17.01.2022 Found this absolute cutie whilst filming a recent project in Paddington So happy with how this shot turned out. Right place, right time. And I couldnt have asked for better behaviour from her Was lucky enough to also meet her kind owner after, who treated her like an absolute princess

16.01.2022 The More Club Stay tuned... Business development, Self development, And connecting with like minded people. ... #rewarding #connecting #networking #business #selfdevelopment

16.01.2022 Don't let like-minded people slip out of your social orbit. Whilst I meet many new people every week, the most exciting part of this is finding other young, like-minded, hard workers who are trying to make their mark in their industry. We often find ourselves being "too busy" to maintain connections over the years. However, even just touching base every couple of months can be all you need.... Creating quality catch-up opportunities where you give the other person your full attention is much more valuable, in my opinion, than sporadic messages here and there. Now, you may be wondering why I've attached this article. Well, the author of this is Joshua Gilsenan who I maintained a relationship with as a result of these practices. I met Josh last year in an advertising class. Not only is he a great guy but I discovered that all the shirts he'd been wearing were designed by him. We chose to stay in touch and continued to support each other career goals. A few months ago he reached out to Sam and I as he had the opportunity to write about the effects of 'learning by doing'. If we hadn't have stayed in touch, this may not have been as easy to put together or even happened at all. I'm grateful to have met Josh and I can't wait to continue to see his business grow (Soft Nudie Jazz). 13.01.2022 BEST STRAWBERRIES EVER + Interesting Reflection When we arrived at the strawberry farm, we were super excited and just dove straight in, picking any red strawberry we found. After a few minutes we realised that we should check the other end as we were running out where we were. Once we went down there, we realised that the ones in the beginning were miniature compared to the ones further along. So, instead of rushing into things just because they seem great, take a step ...back. Reflect. Set a plan (even if its brief). If we had have done that, we would have gone home with a punnet full of giant strawberries rather than half of ours being baby strawbs Nicola Hughes

12.01.2022 Happy Father's Day, Darren Black Thanks for always pushing me to succeed more than I thought was possible

11.01.2022 2019 has been a hectic year! And I would like to say a big thank you to everyone around me for the continuous support and patience throughout. As many of you probably already know, I graduated from a Bachelor of Business (Advertising) with distinction and a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Film, TV, & Screen Production) with distinction (6.0 GPA).... This moment in particular is probably my biggest moment for 2019. Not only because of what I achieved but also because of the closure that it brings to an entire chapter of my life. Ive been studying full-time for 16 years. So, to know that I have completed this chapter for now, is a very surreal feeling. At times I genuinely didnt think this day would ever come. The constant stress, near-breakdowns, hair-pulling moments, and just crazy times were endless. So, if you would like to read more about this journey, please click on the article below. Thank you to everyone that has shared their knowledge with me, provided support, or has simply had a good chat over coffee. If youre interested in connecting in 2020, feel free to reach out. I look forward to it. #business #creativeindustries #adveritising #filmindustry #qutgraduate #graduate #businessowner #internship #mentorship

11.01.2022 | Practicing, Exercising, & Refreshing A short summary of how I utilise my dog-walking time No matter how good you think you are, the minute you stop learning and practicing is the minute you fall behind your competitors.... So, I use my time when I walk the dogs to as one of the ways to practise my content creation skills. No limits to my creative freedom and no deadlines that need to be hit. (Im also already out and away from the office, so why not utilise my time?) Coupled with the fact that it allows me to catch up with my family, spend time with our dogs, and engage in some light exercise, its the perfect time, really. How do you find time to practice what youre passionate about?

08.01.2022 Mentorship Experience #3 at Youfoodz Visiting their Marketing, Technology, and Content Creation HQ. This was a really great day to see the client side of things: How they manage to do majority of their marketing and content creation in-house, and how they then work with an agency as well to optimise their strategy. I also drew some incredible insights from conversations with various team members, such as the CMO, CTO, and the head of Content Creation. (If you want to hear s...ome thoughts, send me a message as theres just too much to discuss in one post ) My favourite bit though was definitely seeing their fully-functioning kitchen that they use as a set to create content, as well as all the gear in there and their additional backdrop set-up. (Sadly I didnt have my phone with me at this point in the day, so I didnt manage to snap a photo. But trust me, if youre a content creator, you would have LOVED seeing this). (Their caramel bliss balls are also amazing, FYI) Theres only one mentorship experience left for me with BAA now. Stay tuned for the final one Coming soon ...

07.01.2022 A few landscape shots from the road trip for you all to enjoy Do you prefer the drone ones or DSLR ones??

07.01.2022 Mentorship Experience #2 With Kash and the team at Nine Sales This was a really fun and insightful morning! Not only did I get clearance to go into Channel 9 at Mount Coot-tha, but I gained further knowledge about all the different Media roles in the industry. A brief rundown of the tour I received: the Sales Team, Commercial Production, Strategy, Kids TV Production, and the Newsroom. ... My favourite parts were understanding more about strategy / receiving some tips and advice as well as seeing behind the scenes in the edit bay and the television set. Overall, it was a really helpful day which has assisted me in choosing which career direction Id enjoy starting in the most. Thank you to all of those who let me shadow them and ask them questions. I really appreciate it all and I cant wait for my next mentor experience at Youfoodz ! @ Channel Nine News Station See more

05.01.2022 - Internship Experience - Yesterday I completed my final hours at my content creation and digital marketing internship with Ray White Paddington. This internship was completed in alliance with my final year of studies at QUT (Queensland University of Technology). As part of this experience, I able to practice my filmmaking skills, learn new ways to capture different content styles, as well as creating content that is more specifically optimised for social media.... Overall, I had a wonderful experience and really enjoyed the workplace as a whole, and learning more about the real estate industry. Thank you to all the individuals who made this valuable experience so enjoyable. I look forward to my next adventure! 02.01.2022 Just dont give up trying to do what you really want to do. Where there is love and inspiration, I dont think you can go wrong. @firstladyofsong Itd be easy for me to quit this. Get a job. Not have to work after hours or sacrifice things that others dont. But its hard to say no to waking up, being your own boss and just genuinely loving what you do.
