24.01.2022 This weeks 3rd round of the Native Watercraft Kayak Series sends us to the iconic North Pine Dam for the Okuma Australia North Pine Open, this will be the first... tournament of its kind on the waterway and we are super excited for the lucky anglers competing. With restrictions to entering the PRFMA location, you won't be able to come and watch, but if you would like to see the live-stream here are the scheduled times for this event.
24.01.2022 Last chance today for a Pre-fish at Lake Macdonald before Round 1 of @bassaustralianation kayak series. Up until today fishing had been very tough. I went back to some old favourites, persisted and came up with 7 including a 45cm model. 23.01.2022 Tough trip to Lake St Clair for the final @bassaustralianation kayak AOY round. I managed one in the first session on the #noriesinletshad run on the PML jighead. 18.01.2022 A week ago saw the end of the #bassaustralianation kayak series. It was a bittersweet end to the year coming 7th in the final and catching a new PB. After a poor start at Lake MacDonald and on the Clarence I am proud to have finished strong amongst some of Australia’s top Bass Anglers. Congratulations go to Al on his AOY and Pete for the championship win. Many lessons learnt from these two top anglers who dedicate everything for the dream. Also big thanks to my wife, @sharneilshapland for touring with me and the lads for making the trips enjoyable and the campsite chaotic #nativewatercraftaustralia

17.01.2022 Product Review: GC canal bashing. I’ve used the Nories Inlet Shad a few times now with good success, from this Tarpon to finger mark. My reflections are; 1. You’ll need a jig head with head weight to keep the body sitting up right, don’t use a jig head with an insert weight, a small 1/12 ounce will do to creat movement. 2. The tail moves/wiggles tighter than Zman slim swim and has a killer body shimmer/roll creating a solid reaction bite. I find them very responsive on a slow roll and while using them as a flick bait. #nories #noriesinletshad #jmlanglersalliance @goldcoastfishingfanatics

12.01.2022 The weekend saw round one of the ABT Bass Pro series on the Clarence River. I had a blast with bass and EP’s for an upgrade. I couldn’t have asked for more accomodating Boaters in David Browning and Kris Hickson with both putting on master classes on river fishing. Finished in 11th.
