23.01.2022 Healing the heart-mind with insight: a path to psychological freedom Online Zoom course 8 x 2.5 hour sessions, beginning 6:00pm (AEDT) 8 February 2021 with Mal Huxter, author and friend of AABCAP. This course will integrate both contemporary psychology and ancient Buddhist perspectives. It will outline the practice of the four establishments of mindfulness: body, feelings, heart-mind and phenomena. 15.01.2022 AABCAP's 2021 Professional Training Course now offered with online option Now is the time to step up and support our communities. Mental health practitioners with clinical qualifications and experience in areas such as psychiatry, psychology, psychotherapy, counselling or social work are invited to apply for this inspiring two-year professional training. To qualify for the course minimum requirements are: - 200 hours of psychotherapy/counselling training - 3 years relevant cl...inical experience - 10+ hours of clinical supervision during training - 30 hours clinical supervision of clinical practice. NB: Other relevant qualifications and clinical experiences may be considered. Applications are also encouraged from Buddhist monastics who wish to develop their understanding of the value of psychotherapy in the support of Buddhist practitioners. All AABCAP teachers are experienced practitioners in their own fields. Each psychotherapist teacher has an extensive background in both Buddhist practice and clinical therapeutic practice, and our Buddhist teachers are well-respected and learned teachers in their own traditions.
