15.01.2022 Too funny, not to share! But seriously how rad is a deadlift! Yes technical and yes this compound movement has (not very fairly I might add) been branded with bad rep for injury BUT when practiced how this is MEANT to practiced this movement is KING. I have 65-70 year old women every Monday morning in a small group session absolutely making me proud as punch with their execution of their deadlifts. I am beyond stoked, I grin like that cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland whe...n I see them nail their reps. This is an all round strength movement that will get your body STRONG... And you know what the big amp about injury with this gem is totally blown up. Adding more cardio for that endorphin kick and aiming to improve my CV fitness. I’m a list maker and I love nothing better to tick those bad boys off- goal achieved! Small steps baby! Each workout is a triumph, each positive choice is a win. That extra litre of water? Win! Taking more time to stretch out or warmup properly? Win! Moving after being so sedentary? That’s a win! #keepgoing

The lies we tell ourselves are the best lies told! How easy we are to manipulate when it is us doing the manipulating. Later then usual gym sess today and yep took a couple of goes- I’ll be honest, just one of those slow start, low motivation spaces. We human, we all get them. But you know what? 03.01.2022 This isn’t the leanest this body has been. Or the fittest. Or the strongest by any means. But its definitely the happiest it’s been for a while..... falling back in love with movement and committing to the consistency of training again. The want to feed her good nutrient dense food. Getting addicted and getting accountable to making her feel good- body and mind, getting that taste to chase goals down. Modest they may be but mine to conquer all the same.
