22.01.2022 Hi, We hope this email finds you all well! Last week all those who registered before the first covid-19 outbreak would have received a refund of the club component, this would have either been $107 or $122 depending on when you registered. The remaining $83 for those registrations and the $83 paid by those who registered in June/July is an association fee and we have received an update that these funds (less admin fee) should be paid by mid to late next week.... Please note: The club has no control over these funds, all club fees have now been refunded. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause

21.01.2022 To all members of the Bunyip Bulls Basketball Club We regret to inform that due to yesterday’s announcement by the Victorian Government those people who reside in the Cardinia Shire will be unable to participate in the winter season of Warragul Basketball. If you live in the Cardinia Shire, there are now only 4 reasons to leave home and unfortunately community sport is not one of them. As a club we have informed the WDABA that we will be withdrawing a minimum of 70% of our t...eams due to where our members reside. This is extremely disappointing for everyone involved. For those that do not live in the Cardinia Shire you will receive a survey today asking you to reconfirm or withdraw your interest in the winter season. This needs to be done as a matter of urgency so we can work out what teams we can enter in the competition. All along, our motivation for the decisions being made was to get children on the court and this will continue for those able. The committee will continue to support those teams able to compete, whilst starting to plan for the summer season. 21.01.2022 Great news for our club! Nearly 4 months ago our club was divided in two, due to a line on a map, as of today we are one! Please see below update from Basketball Victoria Country. Some positive news for the basketball community! We will work through plans and options over the coming days and advise accordingly. We will certainly need as many helpers as possible when we resume. 12.01.2022 Training sessions We are please too offer 2 different levels of training sessions this week commencing Monday 11th January. Casual training session ... Tuesday 530pm-7pm Thursday 530pm-7pm These sessions are for everybody who wants to come and have a bit of a shootaround. These will be supervised sessions for all ages and will be designed for all skill levels Skills Sessions Monday 12pm-2pm Under 12 boys 230pm-430pm Under12 girls Wednesday 12-2pm Under 14 Boys 230pm-430pm Under 14 Girls Friday 12-2pm Under 16 Boys 230pm-430pm Under 16 Girls These sessions are designed for to build and develop skills. There is no charge for these sessions but child must have been registered for either summer 19/20, winter 2019 or upcoming season for insurance purposes. 12.01.2022 Aussie Hoops Coach Bunyip Bulls Basketball Club is looking for an individual who is passionate about basketball to facilitate our Aussie Hoops program. Reportin...g to the Aussie Hoops Coordinator this role will involve approximately 90 minutes of work each week for a period of 8 weeks. These periods align with Victorian School Terms Our Aussie Hoops program generally runs 4 times each year for a period of 8 weeks. We have in the past run this program on Saturday but are open to change of time dependent on successful candidate availability. Aussie Hoops is Basketball Australia's program specifically designed for the development of 5-8 year old boys and girls. Since its inception in Bunyip in 2017 over 150 local children have come through the program. Bunyip Bulls Basketball Club is affiliated with the WDABA Warragul Basketball - Home of the Warragul Warriors and has junior teams from under 10's to under 19's The successful candidate must possess the following Valid Working with Children's Check Be passionate about the development of youth basketball Worked with children in a coaching/mentoring environment previously Basketball Victoria Coaching accreditation or be willing to obtain (club will cover cost) Bunyip Bulls will provide all necessary resources to facilitate the program and provide the required support to continue our successful program. A honorarium payment may be offered to the right candidate who volunteers their time. 10.01.2022 Hi all see below update from Basketball Victoria Country. In a nutshell, no announcement on competition as yet as we are a 'contact' sport. For those in 'regional' outdoor training can resume and indoor training can resume after 1st November.... For those in 'metropolitan' outdoor training can resume after 1st November. 04.01.2022 Refund Update Club fees All information has been provided to Basketball Victoria to process the refund of the club fees. These amounts vary depending on when your registration was paid. These amounts will be paid in full including the transaction fee We have been advised that these should be completed by early next week. Association fees... The association has advised that all door entry fees, $83 (less transaction fee) will also be refunded. The timeline advised was 3-4 weeks from the 11th August. Uniforms Could all outstanding uniforms from both summer season and winter season please be returned ASAP. If you live in stage 4 restrictions please return to 19 Nash Road Bunyip and if in stage 3 please return to 12 Timberland crt Longwarry. If these could please be labelled with who is returning this would be appreciated. Summer Season? One of the positives to come out of the 2 games of Basketball that some kids were able to play was the proof that Basketball can operate in Stage 2 Restrictions safely. With proper hygiene, screening practices and limited spectators I am sure that everyone felt safe playing and watching basketball. This small burst of basketball has certainly shown that there is something to look forward to for everyone when we come out of these restrictions. As soon as we have an update we will let you know. AGM At this stage the club will still be required to hold an AGM within the next couple of months. We are certainly going to need as many helpers as possible to move forward from this challenging time. Please start to think about ways you may be able help if you are able. We anticipate a number of vacancies on our committee moving forward that will need to be filled. More details to follow, The strength of our club and the communities that make it up is in it's people, and I have no doubt that we will continue to offer a fun and vibrant club for all.
