20.01.2022 Hi All boat lovers, It's a beautiful day here at the Slipway. We have just finished re-ribbing a small cabin cruiser and after a paint job it will be ready for more fun on the water. We also have a classic H28 getting a set of chaffing battens and a paint job. The historic Fly is up on the hard having her annual spruce up as well. You can see the interesting "Kitchen Rudder" setup for propulsion. This week we have a bargain for yachties, 2 Hood 23 yachts with sails for $2,000 or best offer. Of course there is a catch, 1 needs a bow repair and the other needs a mast step repair. Call if you are interested.

16.01.2022 But Things Have Changed Lord! God, deciding that the Earth had become too wicked again, sent down Noah to build another ark and to again save two of every living thing. You have six months before I send the great flood. God said. Six months later, God called in the thunder and lightning and the rain came. He looked down and found Noah very distraught and with not one plank on the boat’s hull. ... Noah, I have started the storm, why is the boat not finished? There have been some construction delays Lord. First I was told I needed a building permit. Then a group called PETA protested saying that it was inhumane to put all the animals in such a small place. Then I was told that because I lived in a flood plain I could not build the ark there. I told them that building it in a flood plain was exactly the point but that did not impress them. My new location was fine but the EPA had to first do an environmental impact study that held up construction until just yesterday! Suddenly the clouds cleared up and a beautiful rainbow crossed the celestial horizon. I’m calling you back. God said. Aren’t you going to destroy the world Lord?" Noah asked. What’s the point? 05.01.2022 A heads up to those in the Metung/Nungurner area that thieves are making the rounds again. This week boats have had safety gear and other items stolen from on board, and also had their fuel siphoned and stolen. Police are investigating. Please keep your eyes out and report anything unusual or suspicious to the police.
02.01.2022 ATTENTION! THIEVES ARE IN METUNG AND SURROUNDS. We run a small slipway in Metung Victoria and unfortunately have been the target of professional thieves. Sometime in the last 4 weeks someone removed a 1GM Yanmar Diesel engine ... and gearbox from my boat. They also removed the gearbox from a customers 1GM Yanmar on it's mooring.
