25.01.2022 What a beautiful morning to celebrate with thanks, sadness and joy all those who sacrificed their life for me to have all that I have here in this amazing and blessed part of the world.

24.01.2022 We had a fantastic lunch on last weekend at Wildwood Gardens, Bilpin. Lovely gardens, lots of plants for sale, friendly service and a surprising number of visitors out in the rain. https://www.wildwoodgarden.com.au/

23.01.2022 Here’s a great bushwalk 20mins from Windsor. Burralow Road, Kurrajong Heights to Devils Hole

21.01.2022 It's great to see the bridge nearing completion

21.01.2022 Incase you missed it: Josh Frydenberg, Federal Treasurer, blocked the sale of Lions Dairy & Drinks that was awaiting purchase by the Chinese dairy company, Mengniu. The sale would have been contrary to Australian interest. Lion manufactures many of our well known items such as Pura, Farmers Union Iced coffee & Yoplait. It is good to, finally, see a federal government make a stand in the matter of Australian interest in the market place. Foreign investors do not always have Au...stralia’s interests at heart. Though Lion is Japanese owned, Australia has a much better relationship with Japan. Most Japanese companies are private enterprises, not (partially) government owned or run. China buying up Australian businesses and land is a travesty. Let’s hope our Federal Government will continue from this decision and make it a new trend. We will survive without this type of investment. https://www.abc.net.au//lion-dairy-china-mengniu-/12592534

19.01.2022 A couple more fruit and veg markets (Terrance Road Freemans Reach; Pitt Town) have been born in the Hawkesbury through the COVID time. It would be great to see The Hawkesbury become the food bowl for Sydney again. These types of shops will bring tourism to our area along with the dollars spent in other shops and cafes etc.

18.01.2022 It’s so good to have the new bridge taking traffic. It’s such a great view down the river. Loving seeing the landscaping come together to beautify the area. The brick work looks fantastic. Thanks to our State Government, RMS, Georgiu and Hawkesbury councillors for all the hard work.

18.01.2022 Hi Everyone, you can now find me on instagram!

16.01.2022 KURMOND ROAD AT WILBERFORCE (PUTTY ROAD END) Early this year, when the Hawkesbury River rose and the Windsor Bridge was closed, Kurmond Road was used as a detou...r route for heavy vehicles. This increased heavy vehicle traffic has damaged sections of the road, particularly along the edges, and in order to undertake repairs Council has been seeking funds from the State Government. Council wanted to ensure that the repair costs did not come from our budget as it would have impacted the timing and repairs of future council road projects. Council has now been successful in securing this funding. Initially the plan was to keep filling the potholes and do the work on Kurmond Road once Freemans Reach Road reopened to minimise further disruption to the public. However the condition of Kurmond Road is deteriorating so rapidly Council plans to bring forward the works and complete them as soon as possible. It is expected that the works will start at the end of June or early July and in the interim Council will continue to carry out temporary repairs. We will provide details about start dates closer to the project kick off to ensure that you have the opportunity to make other travel arrangements, either a different route or allow additional time as there will be traffic delays due to traffic controllers on site.

15.01.2022 I’d love to see the old bridge kept. It could be used for pedestrian access, cafes, markets, sunny summer weekend tapas etc. This would be a great asset to Hawkesbury tourism. It was clearly still strong enough after the last floods and could be assessed after each future flood so as not to jeopardise the new bridge.

14.01.2022 Gelato 66 This is a great Hawkesbury Business. Buy local whenever you can and support Hawkesbury businesses. https://gelato66.com.au/

13.01.2022 China is up to old communist tactics. Yesterday, Wed, 9th Sept, in an article in The Australian we see China using its communist control mechanisms to bully the last Australian journalists out of their country. Please take a moment to pray for the 80-odd Australians in Chinese prisons as well as diplomatic staff, tourists and business people currently in China.... https://www.theaustralian.com.au//2b9b2649c70450b5d48c9390

07.01.2022 Health is extremely important and, of course, it’s not just about what you eat. Good health is what enables us to enjoy playing with our children, work hard, feel happy and just generally enjoy life. As a result of a life-changing health situation, our family has learnt a lot about the importance of maintaining good health from a holistic perspective. Maintaining the basics before sickness sets in is critical for healthy life into old age. Things like: sunshine; rest and... recreation; good sleep; proper diet; good psychology and spiritual health are key. Have a fence at the top of the cliff, rather than an ambulance at the bottom, so to speak. I want to encourage you to regularly assess what’s really important in life and align your priorities accordingly. Spend 10 min while you’re driving in the car to consider your health. A few small changes may save on some big doctors bills and a more fun life in the long term.

04.01.2022 Let's not forget those who gave their lives and those who served for our freedom. Let's not wait for another ANZAC Day to come to remember them. Lest we forget!

03.01.2022 Great news for the Hawkesbury

02.01.2022 This is a great follow-up to the Fedeal Treasure’s decision to stop China buying Lion Dairy.

01.01.2022 Wednesday, 2nd September is the national day of commemoration of the Battle for Australia Day. A service will be held in Martin Place this year. It acknowledges service and sacrifice made to defend Australia in 1942-43 particularly in 3 key battles fought in the Pacific during WWII: The Battle of The Coral Sea; Battle of Milne Bay and Kokoda Track campaign. ... The sacrifices and losses that our war veterans and their families have sustained and that of those who continue to give, never ceases to evoke an intensely strong emotional response in me, we are truly grateful to them forever. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_for_Australia
