25.01.2022 Cafe is open today till 2pm. We are closing one hour earlier to prepare for a funeral in the auditorium. Thank you for your understanding. Lunch orders taken till 1.30pm instead of 2pm. Jody

25.01.2022 Hi beautiful Customers. As our Cafe transitions back into a functioning area could we ask you be patient and understanding. Only being allowed 10 inside and 10 outside is an unpredictable situation (especially if we have cold/wet days). It is also hard to know how many volunteers to get back in and when etc. We have also had several volunteers over this time decide not to return. So as we get busier we will need a recruitment drive also (we cannot run a non-for-profit cafe without our volunteers). Also our menu will still be limited as its hard to cover food costs with less people allowed in the building. We will do our best to provide what we can during this period of uncertainty and change. Thank you.

21.01.2022 Was great to see quite a few customers come inside today for soup, toasties, fish and curry. Be good to see more tomorrow. 10 inside and 10 outside at a time but we havent reached that as yet. So plenty of space so far. Unfortunately its not recommended to open Crèche yet because of numbers and social distancing rules and cleaning of toys/surfaces. Thanks for your patience everyone.

17.01.2022 Today Ive made Choc Cheesecake and Raspberry Swirl Brownies! Also have Florentines AND now (if youre game in this weather)... you can use the outside tables. Max 10 people. We arent adjusting too much else until we can have people back inside... but we will play it by ear. We can do chips and may add toasted sandwiches if more people come in.

16.01.2022 Cafe 72 has officially closed its doors for food after today. Coffee machine will remain on for those wanting a quick take away at this stage (take away coffee only). We are looking at providing a few other supports for our elderly and vulnerable via phone/online/pastoral etc options. More information to come. keep safe and stay home ... 16.01.2022 We have a few homemade things today! Fresh Raspberry Jelly Cakes, Florentines, Cinnamon Scrolls and Raspberry/White Choc Muffins. Also Soup, Quiche, Zucchini Slice, Curry and Fish. Maximum of 20 inside the Cafe area.

15.01.2022 Cafe is open but numbers are now limited to 41 inside Cafe areas and 12 outside on the deck area. Still plenty of room and tables are significantly spaced out. No groups larger than 10 can be at a table. We have had to close crèche area to avoid being classed as a Play Cafe. Thank you for your understanding. Please use hand sanitizer we have on offer and keep social distancing protocols. Otherwise everything as normal and my mother has made lovely cakes today and Karen has her KHC Chicken Burger on the go. Jody

15.01.2022 Cafe is quiet but we still have people coming in more for social reasons. We are still offering coffee, cakes and light meals. But we will be downgrading our main meals for the time being as we cannot cover costs with the current situation. We will still offer what we can while we can for now. Even if its two of us serving ...

14.01.2022 We will be open with minimum Volunteers and slightly smaller menu. Will still open up doors and space out tables. Also will do take away etc. Wiping all surfaces and using good hand hygiene etc. Anyone unwell or worried etc is asked to stay home. Most of our retirees are staying home. But if you come in we are there for light meals, coffee and take away. And a chat and other needs.

13.01.2022 My take-away special this morning is a small coffee, one of my mums homemade Florentines! AND a individually wrapped toilet roll. $5.00. ... only have 10 Florentines/rolls. So first 10 in @ $5

13.01.2022 The Cafe is closing earlier today due to a Memorial Service being held in Auditorium for Stephen Cook (a Thursday team member and loved member our our Church). Sadly Stephen passed away a few months ago. We will be closing up around 1pm. We apologise for any inconvenience. Thank you.

12.01.2022 Thanks to those who grabbed take away today and freezer meals ... still doing takeaway and freezer meals tomorrow. Couple soups, quiche, slice, (fish and chips on request), toasties, cup of chips. Coffee, cake etc... just has to be taken out.

12.01.2022 Cafe is getting busier and numbers are increasing. We can open crèche on 1st July - but please help us to wipe and clean surfaces and toys. Due to limited numbers, volunteers and still struggling with food items, our menu is still slightly limited but we are adding things weekly. There has been an increase in panic buying over the last few days (thanks to Victoria panic buying) - so continue to be patient with what we can source. Thank you.

10.01.2022 We are open tomorrow. 20 people inside but we need to wipe tables and chairs in between customers... so please be patient. Still a limited menu but we are trying our best to get back to normal. Thank you to our customers who continue to support us during this time.

09.01.2022 Cafe 72 is open today as usual from 10am to 3pm. But on Friday 24th July and Monday 27th July we will be closing EARLY at 1pm each day due to funerals being held in the Auditorium. Thank you for your understanding. We will be open 10am to 1pm on both days though and doing a lunch menu till 1pm. We will return to being open from 10am to 3pm on Tuesday 28th July. Jody
