22.01.2022 WET WEATHER STRIKES AGAIN! From Bellingen Growers Market : Artisans Market CANCELLED Growers Market GOING AHEAD ... We have made the difficult decision to cancel the Artisans Market this Saturday. The Bellingen Showground is too waterlogged to handle a large event and with continued rain forecast, will not have any opportunity to dry out before Saturday. As the Growers Market is a much smaller event it will be going ahead as usual, so come down on Saturday and catch up with all our wonderful stallholders for the first Growers Market of 2021! While we are very disappointed that we've had to cancel another Artisans Market due to wet weather, we are so happy to see our rivers and forests are getting the rejuvenation they desperately needed! 17.01.2022 The wonderful Bellingen Christmas Artisan market got washed out last weekend ... but you can now drop in to buy beautiful hand-crafted wares from local artisans every day over the next week at the Carriageway at Emporium Bellingen. Definitely worth the drive to Bello if you're looking for special Christmas gifts. There's also the Bellingen Community Markets this Saturday the 19th - it's the biggest one of the year!

06.01.2022 Congratulations to our 2021 Camp Creative award winners! Every year Camp Creative, Bellingen gives out awards to local students nominated for their achievements in music and writing. Laura McNeil is this year's recipient of the Bill Lockley Award. A talented cello player, she was nominated for her dedication to her instrument. She will use her award to purchase a cello and is looking forward to joining the Bellingen Youth Orchestra in 2021.... Bill Lockley was the founder of Camp Creative and a passionate violin player. His annual award is presented to a Bellingen Public School student in year six, enrolled to attend Bellingen High School. The award acknowledges their musical talent and is to be used towards furthering their musical interests. Bellingen Public School student James Pullinger and Repton Primary School student Kai Fitzgerald were recipients of the Bryce Courtenay Award, nominated for their achievements in creative writing. Bryce Courtenay was a famous Australian novelist and writer, and a long-time teacher and patron of Camp Creative. His award is given to acknowledge talented young writers and to encourage them on their writing journey.
