14.01.2022 I have had enough. I have kept quiet. I have tried to be the bigger person, wait for the truth to come out naturally and the police do there thing but this is becoming an absolute witch hunt and it is disgusting in every single way. If you aren't aware I have been subjected to the most disgusting forms of bullying, stalking and harassment by a very small group with a personal vendetta. We have people driving by our house daily, taking photos, I've received death threats.... Private IVO documentation has been given to name and shame groups to share seemingly without consequence. These people have found every single freaking loophole to get around their IVOs and I can't do it anymore. Do you know I've had 11 reports made to DHHS. ELEVEN......all completely unfounded, every single case has been immediately closed because they have deemed it for what it is untrue MALICIOUS reporting. I've had the council repeatedly on our doorstep because they've continually received again completely fake malicious reports. I am sick. I am incredibly physically unwell and trying to recover. We work incredibly hard. We love and appreciate our staff like family. And if anyone knew the full story on this small hate group you'd realise I have always put my staff first. My children do not deserve this. I spend every day trying to make the world a better place somehow. Our staff predominantly are nuerodiverse, we donate to every single fund-raiser we are asked to participate in. Do you know we give 100% discount to every uniformed or known essential worker who enters our doors? No you probably don't because 99% of what we do for our community we don't share. The purpose of charity to us is in from the heart. It's NOT a marketing opportunity. This needs to stop. Yes I have a handful now of unpaid invoices. Yes we are working our arses off to pay them and every single cent above wages and stock goes to them.. they are now 10% of the original financial hole we were left in. See more

09.01.2022 Cara here :) At Cara Mia Cake we understand mental health challenges. We have a very diverse tribe of workers all with their own story and daily struggles. I have never hidden my mental health challenges. Some of which have taken me to the point of hospitalisation under police guard because I was so desperate to not be here any longer. ... I actually hate that the world has come to a place where we need a dedicated day to ask others how they are doing. But today I really think the importance comes down to knowing what to do if you dont get a response along the lines of "Im OK" 1) listen - dont immediately try to fix it 2) analyse quickly if this is something u need to refer for more specialised help. (I had to call 000 a few weeks ago for a mental health check on a friend and if I hadnt she wouldnt be here, same as those that did it for me on 6th Dec 2016) 3) empathise but dont compare, you may be able to relate but its not a competition over who is struggling more 4) let them know you are there for them and have a few places up your sleeve to refer them to if just an unload and vent wasnt enough to help their headspace. Please come in anytime. Even at 3:55pm as we are shutting if you need a safe place to go. We will be there for you. We know this is a challenging time for so many. Isolation can cause fear, heighten anxiety and create a feeling of unease, uncertainty and anger. Take care of yourselves and thank you all for supporting us through this crazy time.
