02.01.2022 Coronavirus Information update Dear Parents, As I outlined on my recent app communication dated the 24/1/20 we have received numerous emails regarding your concerns with the Coronavirus. Further to that advice the Department of Health (Australian Government) state that the Australian Government have well-established procedures to ensure people with illnesses travelling into the country are detected.... It is very early in their understanding of the outbreak and, as such, the Carlingford West believes that the best form of managing any potential health risk to our community is to request the following: In accordance with national public health guidelines, we request that only those who are close contacts (eg: live in the same household) of confirmed cases of Novel Coronavirus infection should be excluded from school for a period of 14 days since last contact with the case. If this applies to your family we request that you inform us directly in order for us to maintain your enrolment status. If you have not visited China during the holidays, you should feel confident to send your child to school unless they have any flu-like symptoms, in which case, as with any other virus, you should keep your child at home until the symptoms have cleared. We will continue to monitor this situation closely. Should the State or Commonwealth governments issue new guidelines. Please visit the Department of Health website who provides regular updates on the virus Thank you for your assistance and I look forward to seeing all our students return to school in the coming days.
