03.01.2022 STALLHOLDER SHOUTOUT!!! Bridget from Bridget Farmer Printmaker 1. Describe your work? I am a printmaker focusing on Australian native birdlife. My original art then informs my product range of screen printed tea towels, hand printed bird mobiles and lapel pins. A number of years ago I brought out my first children's book which I both wrote and illustrated. I intend to being out a second book but at the moment I'm just enjoying working in my new studio concentrating on b...uilding up a larger body of original etchings. My loose line drawing style hopes to capture the character and movement of each bird. Every original etching is inked up by hand, colour being added straight to the plate during inking. The inking up process has to be repeated for subsequent prints. Hence the term 'original print,'. 2. How long have you been with the Castlemaine Artist's Market? I can't remember to be honest. What year was it down by the Theatre Royal? I think I used to do it before I had kids so it was before 2016. I think possibly since at least 2015, maybe before. 3.
