They have taught me not just a great deal about horsemanship but about life.They showed me that there is a moral code between all living things. I often think where is that young rider who could ride all day and still couldnt get enough of the horse. In those younger fast years I thought I knew everything. Now I am a bit more worn, a bit slower but a whole lot wiser. Wet blankets are as good for the rider as well as the horse. I had to grow to find that there was so much to learn. It is my desire to leave as much of me behind for others. I want them to learn from my lifetime of experience and knowledge. What I share with you here is a torch for you to carry forward. 20.01.2022 New Post at Eitans 88 Brand Online Educational Membership. Under Lateral Maneuvers. Shoulder-In gave birth to a baby named Shoulder-Fore. Shoulder-fore is a... lateral movement which encourages your horse to take more weight onto his hind legs and step actively underneath his body. Although its not a required movement in any Cowboy Dressage tests its a really useful flat work exercise to do with your horse. Its great for developing straightness and improving balance. 14.01.2022 Counting Tracks This can best be seen on footing after it has been dragged: a horse moving straight forward will produce two "lines" of hoof prints. A horse per...forming a Leg-Yield will make 4 tracks (one track per hoof). A horse performing haunches-in or-out, or shoulder-in or out, will make 3 or 4 tracks. Its not necessary to ride a shoulder-in or haunches-in on 3 or 4 tracks in order to obtain a gymnastic benefit. Sometimes its enough to move the front legs or hind legs just a step to the side, so that the horse just thinks about it. 12.01.2022 *** Qld, Southern Australian & Australian Cowboy Dressage 2020 Championships cancelled*** With much regret, it has been decided to cancel the 2020 Queensland, Southern Australian & Australian Cowboy Dressage Championships. With the ever-changing climate surrounding COVID-19 & the restrictions around the border, means many people who would like to attend, are unable to do so. This along with the safety of our riders, volunteers & support people are at the forefront of our deci...sion-making process. Please know, this decision was not made lightly. For all those who had nominated in the Championships, we will in touch as soon as possible. We look forward to being back in 2021 & spending quality time with you all.
