07.01.2022 I've always been crazy about animals, this is the first time in years I haven't had a pig, goats, llama, turkey etc just my neked doggy Yoni and a few chookies. (The perfect time to travel) I have also always been crazy about wild animals. Often the only way you get to see a wild animal up close is when they are roadkill. I am always stopping my car to move deceased creatures off the road, so then the next wild creatures who come to eat it don't get collected also.... My first ever road kill I brought home was a Phascogale. I placed it on the dining table to look at its tiny feet etc, fascinating to me. I would never get close enough to study an alive one so I thanked him and buried him. (Did you know the males die at 12months after a sexual frenzy!) For years now I have been collecting bones and feathers. This heightened when my partner passed away I became more involved in understanding death and decomposing. 'Back to the earth' spiritual connections was I guess apart of my grieving, and collecting things I could save to keep the energy of the animal in my home. Jye captured some photos of me with this beautiful creature, inspecting, looking at claws, facial features, any pouches etc. Did you know they lay an egg and have a pouch? And their babies are called puggles!
