04.01.2022 Hi gang. As you may know, it’s been super wet lately. The park generally handles water well up top, but struggles to dry in the lower areas. If you want some XC KMs in your legs, you may want to consider exploring the many fire roads in the Ourimbah state forest. They love being ridden when muddy. Plan a route, tell someone where your going and take care out there. You will discover how beautiful the forest is. A popular loop is heading up the main fire road from the car par...k, take a right at the top (large dirt round-a-bout), and travel up until you reach Campbell’s Point Road (about 2km past the huge fire break and power line views). Take a right and follow the fire road all the way to Yarramalong road. Right at the bottom and it’s 4km back to tree tops. It’s approx 18km loop with a good mix of climbing and some wild and rocky descents. Take water and some food, a phone with a map and let someone know where you are going. Be careful on the road and also remember the fire roads get some traffic too sometimes. On an other note, we have been advised of yet another MTB stolen from someone’s garage. Let us know if you come across it please. Oh and happy new year

03.01.2022 The Community Environment Network has recently become an anti-mtb organisation on the Central Coast. To push their ideology, their latest post politicises the injury of a minor at Ourimbah Mountain Bike Park. It is reprehensible to use the injury of anyone let alone a minor to try to gain some political point scoring and this act is genuinely beyond belief. We would request the Community Environment Network to publicly apologise. If you would like to discuss mountain biking... please come and speak to us rather than throwing stones over social media. To our political leaders, this the type of ideology driving the anti-mtb David Harris MP Liesl Tesch MP Adam Crouch MP Member for Terrigal' Taylor Martin MLC Please note that the trails at Ourimbah are run by community volunteers and paid for by CCMTB, all trail are sanctioned and the facility is free to use for the public.
