25.01.2022 The Simmental cattle of the Hobbs family will be on show during the field days, Central West Beef, Feature Exhibit. These cattle are great examples of the breed having enviable performance records in the show ring and in the paddock.



25.01.2022 Saturday- last day of the field days and the public really engaged with the Central West Beef exhibit. There were lots of engagement by observers of the cattle and interested breeders. A number of exhibitors sold cattle others had people register great interest with potential purchases likely when we move out of drought. The event has proved very successful with satisfaction with the venue, management and outcomes being voiced by all our exhibitors.

23.01.2022 Shadow Park Lowlines Seldom will you find this breed in the saleyards, however they are a favorite for the owners of Shadow Park who have a strong focus on the impact of their activities on the land and their environmental footprint. The stud has an enviable record in the show ring, produces seed stock for people wanting to get into the breed and are developing a paddock to plate beef business. Shadow Park is a breeder well worth speaking to at the Central West Beef Feature at Australian National Field Days.

21.01.2022 Blue E cattle will be on exhibit at the Central West Beef Feature Australian National Field Days. Coota Park - home of the Blue E, have a wealth of knowledge and experience that you can access come and have a chat to them over the course of the field days.

21.01.2022 Orange High School will be exhibiting their Galloway cattle at Central West Beefs feature at the Australian National Field Days. They have a relatively short history with the breed but have had considerable success in the stud show ring. The efforts of the students and staff are exemplary and a discussion with them is well worth while. Take the opportunity to do that when you visit the cattle on show over the 24th-26th October

20.01.2022 Highly successful breeder, Errowanbang Murray Grays will be exhibiting at the Central West Beef Feature at the Australian National Field Days. The success that Errowanbang has experienced in show rings around the country, provides clear evidence of the beef industries recognition of their breeding program and the seedstock they produce.



20.01.2022 MSM Milling, a supporting exhibitor at the Central West Beef feature exhibit has made Director Pete Mac Smith available to present information on on supplementary feeding with high protein pelletised feed, in particular the products made with MSM Non-GM Expeller Pressed Canola Meal produced at MSM Stockfeeds. This is a great contribution and the information is both timely and valuable given the tough times breeders currently face managing their feed budgets. You can her Pete on Saturday morning. There will be an opportunity to talk directly with him following his presentation where you can address all your specific needs.

18.01.2022 Rose Hill Speckle Park Cattle will be on show at the Central West Beef Feature Australian National Field Days. This stud started its journey with 3 embryos and has built from that foundation. With the experience the stud owners have they will be well worth talking with.

16.01.2022 This Thursday at the Central West Beef Feature, Australian National Field Days, students from James Sheahan, MAGS Dubbo, Orange High, Blayney High, Canowindra High and Tullamore Central will participate in cattle handling and assessment workshops. The day will culminate in a Junior Judging Competition. It promises to be a great educational program.

15.01.2022 There are a large number of breeds that will be on exhibition at the Central West Beef Feature Exhibit, during the Australian National Field Days. Shorthorns will be shown by James Sheahan High School, who have a breeding program that complements their educational endeavors and show ring activities, Sunrise Shorthorns which is an emerging breeding enterprise established by Katie Coulson and the well recognized and successful Ronelle Park and Trojon Studs. Come and check out all the breeds on show.

11.01.2022 Wondenia Fleckvieh provide a great example of this dual purpose breed of cattle.They have a reputation, particularly in Europe, of performing equally as a beef or dairy cattle. These cattle are certainly worth looking at during the Central West Beef Feature at Australian National Field Days

10.01.2022 There will be some terrific Red Angus cattle on show at Central West Beefs Feature Exhibit at the Australian National Field Days Among the breeders exhibiting are Goondoola which was the most successful Red Angus stud at the Sydney Royal this year and Karawi Hill (H&M Cattle Co) which also has an enviable reputation for breeding outstanding cattle. Make sure you inspect all the cattle that will be on show. The dedication of the breeders participating in the feature exhibit, given the current challenging conditions is testament to the resilience and dedication of these farmers.

10.01.2022 The Charolais breed will be well represented with two breeders being in attendance at the Central West Beef Feature, Australian National Field Days. Long time supporter of the Field Days and very successful stud Violet Hills will again make a strong presentation.

The support of the Field Days management and staff could not be faulted. Thank you !!! 10.01.2022 Dont miss an outstanding program of industry presentations Friday 25th October at the Central West Beef Feature, Australian National Field Days. Feeding, Pastures, Nutrition, Genetics, Herd Management are all topics that will be covered with some new and innovative ideas being put forward. Our key note speaker Shannon Landmark, the 2018 Zanda MacDonald Award recipient will give some insight into the some amazing genetic research being undertaken and provide an indication of what this might do for the beef industry. This is a field day seminar series not to be missed.

Andrews knowledge and presentation techniques are very engaging.

06.01.2022 Central West Beef has secured the 2018 Zanda McDonald award recipient, Shannon Landmark, as it keynote speaker for their seminar day, Friday 25th October. Shannon will travel from North Queensland to present some of her genetic research which has the potential to offer significant advances in cattle breeding. Shannons involvement with Central West Beef Feature Exhibit is due to the support of "Queensland Alliance for Agriculture and Food Innovation"

04.01.2022 The Angus Breed will be represented at the Central West Beef feature exhibit, Australian National Field Days by two prominent studs. The cattle show here are all associated with the Dalwhinnie stud. The second exhibitor will be revealed soon. The quality of cattle produced by both breeders should encourage you to see them at the field days.

A butcher, small-goods producer and cattle breeder, Brad has years of experience in the beef industry and is always willing to share his knowledge with fellow breeders and consumers. Brad will give an interactive presentation at the Central West Beef Feature talk on Saturday 26th October at the Australian National Field Days. Come and get a greater appreciation of what it takes to deliver quality meat for discerning consumers.

02.01.2022 The time has come. The bump in is complete and it all went like clockwork. Thanks to all the exhibitors who followed the rule and delivered their animals in a very professional manner. A very big thanks to Joel and Declan for their immense help in getting cattle off trucks and into pens. The cattle look in great condition and are a credit to the breeders. Everyone is experiencing the same tough conditions but the way the breeders exhibiting have presented their cattle is a ...credit to their operations. Tomorrow the field days get underway and Central West Beef will be host to around 100 students who will participate in cattle handling and presentation workshops. They will end the day with a Junior Judging competition. Friday has an industry focus will professional talks from very experienced people being given through out the day. Saturday a breeder/butcher will demonstrate where the various cuts of meat come from. Come and join us, we will be happy to see you. See more
