The look that Maz and Mils have for each other in this photo melts my heart. Its 100% pure love. Performing their wedding on Australian soil, once Australia recognised their relationship was something I had imagined for soooooooo long. These two are best friends of mine, which is why I agonised over their ceremony,... I wanted to perfect each and every section. But declaring them wifed for life was the highlight and still brings a huge smile to my face and a warmth to my heart when I think about it. 19.01.2022 What's the secret to a happy marriage? This is a question I'm asked often because I'm a celebrant, but also because I'm married. My first response is to crack a joke about owning a king size bed and how important it is to be able to stretch out and feel like you're the only person in the bed! But in reality, I believe it comes down to marrying your best friend. The person you can and want to spend every single day with, the person who you can laugh and cry with, who sees you ...at your best and your worst, and loves you unconditionally in both states. 15.01.2022 Today, I am so very proud to be Australian. Finally we're a nation that celebrates love and we no longer discriminate against same sex couples who want to say, 'l DO'. Even my fruit today projected love! The Marriage Amendment (Definition and Religious Freedoms) Bill 2017 has passed through parliament, which means that as of this Saturday, the 9th of December, the changes take affect - { THE MOST IMPORTANT CHANGE IS THAT THE DEFINITION OF MARRIAGE BEING BETWEEN A M...AN AND A WOMAN IS NOW CHANGED TO BEING BETWEEN "TWO PEOPLE" } - and same sex couples who were married overseas will now have their marriages recognised in Australia, AND from January 9th next year, same sex couples can start getting married on Australian soil!
