22.01.2022 Camden Comes To LIfe Hundreds of spectators, sometimes two and three deep, lined Camdens streets to welcome the annual Australia Day parade. Tradition was brok...en this year to give Rural Fire Service crews the honour of leading the annual parade. Usually, Lighthorse Re-enactment members on horseback lead the parade followed by Cadets - Air Force and Army Cadets taking turns to then lead. Australian Army Cadets from 21 ACU and 23 ACU combined to add their support to the parade. Cadet Under Officer Julian Di Giovanni from 23 ACU, proudly led the Army Cadets through Camden to sporadic applause from spectators lining the route. At the parade conclusion, the Cadets and other participants were treated to a sausage sizzle and ice-cold drinks by local Lions Clubs members. Thank you. When the RFS crews drove their cavalcade of trucks past the Cadets the youth members broke out in sporadic applause. The RFS crews acknowledged the salute with hoots from the fire trucks horns.

20.01.2022 WE NEED YOUR HELP! The paid preview screenings of our movie DANGER CLOSE: The Battle of Long Tan this weekend at Cinemas like Dendy https://www.dendy.com.au/eve.../danger-close-preview-screening on Sunday and our opening week's box office beginning August 8, are crucial for the success of our film. In fact it will determine how many screens our film continues to play on over the initial weeks. There are only so many screens available and usually the big Hollywood films take up the lion's share and there are some big films coming up. Cinemas are businesses and they will give the most screens to the films with the most demand. DANGER CLOSE will be opening on 220+ screens across Australia and if the film does well, more screens will be added by the cinemas; both independent and the major chains. We need your help to spread the word and ask as many people as possible to see our film, and to see it early in this first week if possible. It took us 15 years to get this great movie made. We made it for the Vietnam Veterans and their families and for you, the audience. Unlike most other films you may see, our film is an entirely independent Australian film, and it is an Australian film with a scale and quality not seen for many decades. It is such an important ANZAC story and a huge amount of love, sweat, blood, tears and personal sacrifices have gone into making it. If our film is successful it will help immortalise an entire generation of Vietnam Veterans and in turn recognise and honour their service and sacrifice. Our success will also help ensure that other important Australian stories will continue to be made in the future. Please helps us spread the word! Thank you on behalf of our cast, crew, Director, Writer, Producers and supporters. Danger Close: The Battle of Long Tan is in Australian cinemas August 8. Trailer - https://www.facebook.com/battleoflongtan/videos/2200254463344162/ 18 August 1966, in a Vietnamese rubber plantation called Long Tan, 108 young and mostly inexperienced Australian and New Zealand soldiers are fighting for their lives against more than 2000 North Vietnamese and Viet Cong soldiers. #travisfimmel #lukebracey #danielwebber #richardroxburgh #nicholashamilton #dangerclose #dangerclosemovie #battleoflongtan #vikinglife #vikingwarrior #director #filmdirector #movies #whattowatch #vietnamwar #military #militaryhistory #veterans #usmilitary #veteranmade #hooah #australia #newzealand #usa #usveterans #combatveteran #conscription #comingsoon Transmission Films Screen Queensland Screen Australia
