19.01.2022 This morning all our educators visited the Wyndham vale CFA for Fire safety day. What a great opportunity today to meet some men and woman who volunteer their time to our community to help us in our time of need. We learnt about calling 000 in case of emergency, we learnt how to "STOP DROP & ROLL" if ever our clothes were on fire, we learnt to "GET DOWN LOW & GO GO GO!" If ever our house was on fire to crawl under the smoke gives us the best chance of getting out and being ab...le to see, we even got to play dress ups! After the demonstration, we got to have a look around in the grass fire truck, we saw and heard what a fireman wears and how he sounds when he wears his oxygen mask and to not be scared of them as they are there to help! Once all that was done the children all got a go playing with a BIG hose they loved it (even got a few educators wet and the boss) These types of days allow the children a little more insight and knowledge into the world around them, learning how to act in case of an emergency and ultimately allowing them to explore all of this safely and securely in a controlled environment. Knowledge is power and your never too young to learn how to stay safe! And a big thank you to all my lovely educators for getting involved. See more

09.01.2022 To all our wonderful families: The COVID-19 Pandemic is something that we are all very aware of, we are writing to you today in the hope that we can ensure the health of all our families. Below you will find links to two fact sheets created by the Australian Government Department of Health, they are:... What you need to know, and Information for schools and early childhood centres, students and their parents. We ask that you are vigilant and ensure that you do not attend care with your child if they are displaying the following symptoms: fever, sore throat, dry cough, and fatigue. Less common symptoms can include headaches, nasal congestion or a runny nose. Diarrhea and nausea have also been reported but are even less common. Symptoms will generally appear three to four days after exposure to the virus but can be up to 14 days later. For those that are claiming Child Care Subsidy we recommend that you obtain a Medical Certificate if your child is not attending care due to being ill, this will support any application for additional absence days in excess of the standard 42 per year. 01.01.2022 Cheeky Pandas Easter Party. Today we went on an Easter Egg hunt at Presidents park. All carers were present and wow did it make for a fun day. We had free play on the play ground that encouraged the children to use there gross motor skills, self help skills and interact with others. Followed by egg and spoon races in which the kids received an Easter egg to eat when they finished. Then they watched and cheered the carers on as they had their own egg and spoon race. This encou...raged co-ordination, fine motor and problem solving skills. The children then had Kelly and Stacey read a story (going on a egg hunt) while the other carers hid the Paper Easter Eggs for the children to find in their own egg hunt. The egg hunt was so fun the children ran around trying to find the paper eggs and giving them to their carers before finding more. This encouraged listening skills, following instructions, fine motor skills and lots more. There were many giggles, celebrations and smiles. We followed this with a yummy sausage sizzle for lunch. A gathering such as this promotes a sense of community and belonging for children. See more
