17.01.2022 It’s often this time of year as it starts to heat up that we forget how important it is to keep up our water in take. I’ve decided to put together just some of the reasons why water is soooo important to our bodies. 1. Water Helps Energize Muscles. Cells that don't maintain their balance of fluids and electrolytes shrivel, which can result in muscle fatigue. When muscle cells don't have adequate fluids, they don't work as well and performance can suffer. 2. Water Lubricates... Your Joints Water is a key nutrient in the makeup of the synovial fluid, which helps lubricate your joints and allows for ease of movement. If you fail to drink enough water, even for a short time, less fluid is available to protect your joints which can be detrimental. Drinking water provides that protective fluid which will help you optimize performance and give longer life to your joints. 3. Water Speeds Up Your Recovery Time Sore muscles from exercise or over exertion or stress are one of the biggest prohibitors of our bodies being able to function correctly, and can be tough to work through. Dehydration can make the recovery period feel even worse. Drinking water is beneficial in speeding up that recovery time and eradicating feelings of soreness removing toxins from your body and keeping your muscles in proper working order. 4. Drinking Water Helps Maintain the Balance of Body Fluids. Your body is composed of about 60% water. The functions of these bodily fluids include digestion, absorption, circulation, creation of saliva, transportation of nutrients, and maintenance of body temperature. Here are 5 helpful tips to help you drink more, to increase your fluid intake and reap the benefits of water: 1. Have a beverage with every snack and meal. 2. Choose beverages you enjoy; you're likely to drink more liquids if you like the way they taste. 3. Eat more fruits and vegetables. They are high water content will add to your hydration. 10.01.2022 To my extremely valued clients, In response to the fears surrounding the spread of COVID-19, tonight the Prime Minister announced that all Massage Therapists must close down. Like many of you, this is very uncertain and unknown territory for me. I had already made the decision last week to reduce my numbers and work from home however tonight has closed my doors entirely for an unknown amount of time. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my loyal and valued clients. My heart goes out to all my fellow colleagues that are also having to close their businesses down and to all my clients and friends that are also affected by this.
