22.01.2022 Senior Teams 31/01 #gorustlers

22.01.2022 We at Cheltenham Baseball Club are proud to support our Women’s Baseball Program and take pride in our history of welcoming members from a diverse range of backgrounds. Although we no longer have our Korean teams with our Club, we are pleased to see a Korean baseball film showing in Australia this month as part of the Korean Film Festival in Australia (KOFFIA 2020). Appropriately, in English the film is titled BASEBALL GIRL, about a female pitcher who is going to take on th...e pros with her ‘knuckle ball.’ We think you will agree that it is hard to get everyone to agree on something, but can we all agree that so far this year baseball has not been what we might have hoped for! However, not all news is bad news this year, because the coronavirus means that some film festivals, like KOFFIA, have gone online and are FREE. BASEBALL GIRL is leading off, first up to bat for the film festival, showing from 19:30 (AEDT) on Thursday 29 October 2020, so it must be good. To watch the film, you will first have to go to the KOFFIA streaming site at www.KOFFIAONLINE.com They promise that this will become available before 29 October. Once you have registered to create an account, you can start watching the film any time within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time. We hope you enjoy the film (with or without English subtitles)! Cheltenham Baseball Club caters for all levels of players from kids (5 years and older), women’s, men’s and masters. If you are interested in playing, please contact [email protected].

18.01.2022 We know you are keen to hear about details for the summer 2020/21 season. Currently it is the Club’s expectation that training will resume (under appropriate restrictions) from 19 October 2020. We are expecting that the season can begin (for Juniors and Seniors) from the second week of November. ... This is based on current advice but is subject to change depending on government restriction levels/guidance. Without doubt, we are keen to get out on the diamond and resume some form of normality as soon as we can. In the meanwhile, we urge all players - existing members and anyone interested in joining the Club - to register their interest ASAP via email: [email protected] Likewise, please send us an email if you have any questions. We can’t wait to see everyone. Your Summer Committee.

08.01.2022 G’day Rustlers... well hasn’t it been a crazy year! There’s been a lot going on at committee level and we are pleased to announce that Russell Ferguson has been nominated (and accepted) the role of President again this year. He will be supported by Andrew Gribbin as Vice President, Judy Williams as Treasurer and Brett Curnow as Secretary. We are also grateful for our general committee members for putting their hand up to assist this season. There will be more to come from th...e President but as there was unfinished business as a result of the abrupt end to the 2019/20 season, in the coming days we will be posting videos from some of our 2019/20 coaches, announcing team awards. In addition, one of our amazingly dedicated junior coaches, Joey Tucker, is developing online coaching tips for our junior members, providing tips and drills that can be done at home. Our first one will be posted shortly. There are many questions and still uncertainty about the coming season, but bare with us, as soon we have details or update we will communicate the news. We sincerely hope you and your family have all stayed safe during the winter season and we cannot wait to get the band back together!!!
