15.01.2022 SA's best junior chess club is looking for a home in Term 1! The Campbelltown Public Library is still under construction and now we don't have a place to learn and play chess in the area. Ideally we are looking for Tuesday afternoons from 3:30-6:00pm. Please share and help us find a place for our state champions and new beginners!

08.01.2022 This is a position from the Queens Gambit series on Netflix with Beth Harmon as White and Harry Beltik as Black. White to move and Beth played the aggressive h4. Later in the series Beth discovers a better move in this position. Can you find the move that Beth couldn't? let us know in the comments.

07.01.2022 Blathy Otto is credited with creating the longest chess puzzle. White to move and forced checkmate in 290 moves. It is fabulous to see how white can use Zugzwang multiple times to win in 290 moves. This position would not arise from a chess game. With multiple dark square Bishops from both sides and the placement of the pawns this position was not taken from a real chess game.
