23.01.2022 WE ARE NOW OPEN! Super excited to get back to doing what we love! The government and health authorities have announced Level 2 restrictions for Dentistry which is positive news amidst the Covid-19 crisis. This means we can see most of our patients once again for most of their dental needs. We look forward to seeing everyone again. Contact us to book your child's next appointment so that they can stay smiling!

19.01.2022 Dear Parents of our patients, The health and safety of our patients and their families, our staff and everyone attending Children’s Dentistry is our number one priority. The situation with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is evolving quickly and many of you and your children may find the constant media coverage and news stream overwhelming. ... We would like to reassure everyone that we are regularly being updated with the most current developments on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) through the World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines, Australian Dental Association (ADA), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and our broader networks to the scientific community. We will endeavour to keep you posted of any significant changes that would affect your safety. At this stage, we are continuing to provide our services as per usual to all our patients. As always, we continue to strictly adhere to the ADA Infection control guidelines. We have hand sanitisers, hand soap and tissues at reception and throughout the clinic for you and your child to use during the appointment. All surfaces are regularly disinfected throughout the day. These measures are implemented to help reduce the potential spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and we thank you for cooperating with us in these matters. Please refer the following checklist prior to your child's appointment with us. Kind Regards, Children's Dentistry

19.01.2022 WE REMAIN OPEN... Children's Dentistry remains open and remains a valid reason for you to leave home. The practice will remain open unless further restrictions are imposed by our governing health bodies. At such time, we will post a notification on this page and directly contact patients with upcoming appointments.... As we continue to see our patients, the safety of our patients, our staff and their families remains our highest priority. We are adhering to the following protocols: Any patient or immediate family member in the same household who has been unwell must refrain from attending the practice for a minimum of 14 days Any person who may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 must avoid attending the practice for 14 days All attending parents and where practical, our little patients need to wear a face mask in the clinic On arrival, parents and patients will be asked to wash their hands with soap and water or use the provided hand sanitisers; answer COVID19 risk questions and have their temperatures taken. We are booking staggered appointments to easily achieve social distancing in our reception room. Occasionally however, we may need to ask the parent to remain in the car park until we are ready to see you. Our infection control protocols always were and remain at exceptional levels and the common areas are cleaned and sanitised throughout the day. We look forward to seeing you soon. If you have any questions, kindly call us on 9859 4448.

11.01.2022 Easing of Restrictions from Level 2 to Level 1 To our dearest patients, parents and friends of Children’s Dentistry, We are sure that over the past few weeks, you have adapted to being home full time and among others juggling being parents, working from home, frequently feeding the family, giving haircuts and cleaning constantly! ...Continue reading

10.01.2022 To our dearest patients, parents and friends of Children’s Dentistry, For us at Children’s Dentistry, it’s all about the kids. This held true before COVID-19 and will continue to hold true throughout this pandemic crisis and beyond to better times. Our first and foremost priority is the health and safety of our patients, staff and their respective families. Based on the current spread of the virus and progressive restrictions, our peak bodies, the Australian Dental Associati...on (ADA) and the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC), have advised us to restrict the types of appointments and number of patients we can see at the practice. This means, until the restrictions are lifted, in the interest of health and safety of all our patients and staff, we will limit our services to manage children who present with urgent dental conditions. The classification of urgent and non-urgent appointments is based on the current guidelines provided by our peak dental bodies: Urgent appointments and dental emergencies: Should your child present with a toothache as a result of a dental infection, severe dental traumatic injury, soft tissue pathology / swelling or a loose or broken appliance/ crown causing severe discomfort and/or pain please contact us via email or phone so that we can assess and advise appropriate management. Non-urgent appointments: Patients that already have appointments at our practice for continuing care, fissure sealant, restorative or preventative care and other non-urgent dental treatment will need to be postponed. Please note, as a specialist paediatric practice, we appreciate that these appointments are especially important in a child given they are constantly undergoing growth spurts with changing dynamics between primary and adult teeth, evolving and variable oral care at home and diets containing sugar. For our patients with appointments in April 2020, our reception team will contact you to reschedule these appointments commencing June 1 2020. Rest assured, should you have any queries or concerns about your child’s dental health, we will still be available to assist via email, telephone or in some cases via Facetime or Zoom. We will endeavour to regularly keep you updated via email. For the most up-to-date information and dental health messages we would strongly advise our patients and parents to please visit our Children’s Dentistry Facebook and Instagram pages. We hope and pray that this pandemic will soon pass and we look forward to welcoming your child back to their dental home. In the meantime, stay safe, stay sound, stay strong and most of all stay smiling.
