24.01.2022 With the easing of Covid restrictions the committee have been working the past couple of weekends at the Chinchilla grounds making changes to the face of the camp. With the welfare of the cattle at our events the highest of priorities, we have extended the face of the camp another 3 meters out into the arena, this will allow the first and second pegs to be set further out in the arena away from the fences. The camp will now be a very similar depth and width to the camp at Condamine. We have also put some tiered seating in the camp area for specators. Keep an eye out in the coming weeks for progress posts as we put up the rails and complete this project.

09.01.2022 2020 CHINCHILLA GRANDFATHER CLOCK CAMPDRAFT CANCELLED After considering all the rules & regulations that are required to facilitate the running of our annual event this year, and discussions had with the Chinchilla Police, it is with dissapointment that we have made the decision to cancel our annual event We feel that it is in the best interests of our committee and their families, our sponsors and cattle donors, our community, and our competitors to not run this large ...scale event in 2020. We would like to thank the ACA and all involved in the work that has been done so far to get our much loved sport of campdrafting back up and running We are considering, and hopeful, that we may still be able to run some other small scale events in the meantime until Covid-19 restrictions are eased. On a more positive note, the committee ran a practice day for its members yesterday, to try out the newly rebuilt camp. We think its great, and can't wait for you all to be able to try it out! Check out our youngest members enjoying a day out, and practicing social distancing too

08.01.2022 Our Deepest condolences to the family of Fred Turner Jnr. on his passing. Fred was a member of the Chinchilla Campdraft Committee for many years. He also served on the ACA Management Committee. Our thoughts are with his family at this time.

08.01.2022 The Chinchilla Campdraft Committee wishes to pass on its sincerest condolences to the McIntyre Family on the passing of Arthur McIntyre. Arthur was a long standing memeber of the Chinchilla Campdraft Committee through the 80s/90s and well into the current century. He served as President of the committee from the late 80's through to the early 2000's, and has continued as a supporter and sponsor of the Chinchilla Grandfather Clock Campdraft, in these most recent years he has been the trophy sponsor for the Highest Cutout in the Grandfather Clock Open Draft. We will certainly miss seeing him in the grandstands at the Grandfather Clock Campdraft. Rest In Peace Arthur
