24.01.2022 A special guided tour of Laura Blishen’s beautiful sustainable garden made for a very relaxed Business After Hours gathering on Thursday evening. Laura’s knowledge about effective companion planting, improving challenging soil types and working with our harsh climate was boundless - and I think we all got a bit inspired to expand our home gardens (and some of us may have ended up taking home quite a few plants .) The group enjoyed a fabulous meal of curries made with veggies, eggs and herbs from Laura’s garden matched with Bindoon Estate wines. Make sure you drop in to Thrive Sustainability for plants and seeds that will thrive in our local environment! Their #Locavore store was their answer to what they could do supporting #producers and other #businesses of the region, so through this e-commerce platform, they provide a channel between growers and #food #producers with #consumers who want to buy local and on season products. Costumers can buy online and collect from the shop where at this moment there are tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, diverse leaves, authentic pastured eggs, #honey, #avocados, olive oil, cheeses, marmalades, also #wildflowers.
