24.01.2022 Let’s do the ‘When’ of the Christmas in the Country Art and Craft Show. Just like Christmas it is held on set days (not date) each year. The Show is always held on the first Friday and Saturday of November. Opening night runs the preceding Thursday night. This year opening night lands on Thursday 5 November and the Show runs through Friday 6 November and Saturday 7 November. Year by year you can set the dates in your diary so you’re sure not to miss out

22.01.2022 Each year we offer Christmas photo sessions that run throughout the entire Show on Friday and Saturday. The committee are currently seeking expressions of interest for a photographer for this years Show. Set up, background and all props etc will be your responsibility and we offer you 1/4-1/2 the stage area. Please submit an expression of interest setting out prices and packages offered to [email protected]. Please ensure you would be available to attend both full days. Please note these expressions of interest will be considered when the committee can next meet in person which at this stage will not be before the end of July. We are seeking expressions of interest for photographer only, all other expressions of interest have closed.

21.01.2022 Are you interested in having a stall at our 30th Anniversary Christmas in the Country Art and Craft Show? If so be sure to complete and submit your expression of interest.

21.01.2022 This year marks a very exiting year for Christmas in the Country Art and Craft Show. It is the 30th year anniversary of the Show As you know though we are currently in very uncertain times and while we are hopeful that the show will proceed as planned, there is a high chance that the show will need to be modified to some degree. The committee have decided that at this stage we will forge ahead with plans as normal and as the date approaches we will implement any changes that are required. The Show will only be cancelled if restrictions are again tightened and we are directed to do so. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page over the next few months, and in particular the weeks leading up to the Show as we will post any updates or modifications as soon as they are at hand to keep you as informed as possible.

19.01.2022 Christmas in the Country Art and Craft Show is held at the Gatton Shire Hall. The Show has been held there since 2004, after starting at the Peace Lutheran Primary School Gatton. Located in the middle of town you will have access to also visit many little local businesses in Gatton.

17.01.2022 WATCH THIS SPACE... The committee have now entered the wonderful world of ‘zoom’ meetings. We met tonight to discuss what this years Show might look like and what changes we may need to make should COVID-19 restrictions still be in place. Please be patient with us as we navigate through the next few weeks. We were over the moon to receive such a wonderful response to our call for expressions of interest and these have not been ignored. As we formalise our planning and decision making over the next few weeks we will be in touch and will be back as a regular in your Facebook feed

16.01.2022 Time is flying by! Don’t forget to put the dates in your diary. The committee are working hard to ensure we will comply with all the required COVID directions and you will see some changes when you visit us. We will be sure to keep you updated as to what these are just prior to the event but your wonderful shopping opportunity with our usual high quality stalls will still be the same

14.01.2022 Over the next few weeks I plan on doing a ‘who’ ‘what’ ‘where’ ‘when’ and ‘why’ of the Art and Craft Show. Let’s start with ‘who’. Christmas in the Country Art and Craft Show is the major fundraiser for Peace Lutheran Primary School Gatton. Months and month of meticulous planning is done by the art and craft committee, a sub committee of the Peace Lutheran Primary School P & F. The committee consists of a group of fearless women who all work, some run their own business, w...e are all mums and we are passionate about raising funds for the wonderful school that supports our children. We are supported by wonderful volunteers who throughout the show help out in many important ways. The Show doesn’t exist without our wonderful Stallholders and our many shoppers all out looking for their own little piece of the Show. Our sponsors who we can never thank enough for their contribution and continued support. The wonderful mix of all the ‘who’ is what makes the show the wonderful success that it is See more

11.01.2022 This week is the ‘what’ of Christmas in the Country Art and Craft Show. What is the Show..? The Show comprises of 70-80 quality craft stalls. Every item for sale must be hand made. Stalls range from jewellery, to children’s clothes, to fudge, to timber items, to craft supplies, to Christmas items, to fruit and veggies, to Christmas phots, to quilts and many many many more. If it’s craft, it’s there. The Show is set up in and around the Hall with one main sales desk to p...rocess all purchases. The Show itself consists of opening night on Thursday night and runs throughout Friday and Saturday. The Cafe is open Friday and Saturday and is always fully stocked whether for a quick snack, a scone and coffee or lunch. The school P&F also runs a bbq on Friday afternoon. The Show offers a great opportunity for some Christmas shopping or just general shopping to find that unique craft item you can’t live without. See more

10.01.2022 This year, unlike previous years, we are delaying the sale of opening night tickets until later in the year. Tickets will go on sale at 5.00am on 1 August. Hopefully by this time we will have a better idea of how opening night can proceed. If you’re interested please make sure you leave yourself a reminder on your fridge/in your diary/in your phone for 1 August

10.01.2022 We are currently seeking sponsors for our 30th Art & Craft Show. Sponsors are a very important part of our Show and we can’t thank them enough for being involved. There are numerous levels of sponsorship and if you think this may be something you’re interested in please contact us at [email protected].
