25.01.2022 Last night we held our first Supporters Dinner where we heard how our partnership with churches around the country are helping and what we can all do to continue to support churches. It was a great night of encouragement. Thanks to those who attended and particularly those who have supported Church2Church in many ways in this first year, we really appreciate you all.

25.01.2022 Please pray for Kath, myself as we head to Adelaide. Pray for our partner churches and their pastors - Davo and Megan, Damien & Kelly, Ben and Bron. This is a challenging work and we are beginning to see signs of God moving and bringing new life.

24.01.2022 Out for lunch with Dan and Anita Saunders from our partner church in Gympie with Tim Collard and Kathy.

24.01.2022 Kath and I are spending time at the NSWMFC - that’s the Ministers’ Family Camp in NSW. Heard a good talk from Matt Oats and enjoying the conversations and the weather (get’s below 20 c here at Stanwell Tops).

21.01.2022 Kath and I have the great privilege of doing some work with the guys of the Presbytery of Central Queensland in Rockhampton.

16.01.2022 Yesterday, Kath and I spent the day in Gympie. First up, we spent time with Daniel and Anita Saunders talking about mentoring for next year. We then met with the Session to discuss the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of Gympie Presbyterian Church and the priorities for the church in 2019 - Mission, Training and Spiritual Health. It was a great encouragement for us personally and we feel so blessed have the opportunity to work with God's people in this way.

12.01.2022 A 12 Week Challenge with a difference Freed to Live a Better Story At Living Church we’ve kicked off the year with a 12 Week challenge that’s designed to help us develop habits of the heart so we can live a better story. The worldly story is an exhausting one we are presented with 8000 ad messages a day telling us we need stuff, 25 years ago it was 3000; we all struggle with choice anxiety when we go to the supermarket for a jar of mayonnaise, we’re faced with 57 differ...ent types, there are 71 choices on Facebook for our gender identity; 4.75 billion bits of content are uploaded every day, we’re constantly being told that we need to be better, that we can be better if only we had whatever the latest thing is. It’s exhausting, and distracting, and ultimately leads us away from God. But Jesus not only gives us a better story, he gives us the freedom to live it. Freed for a better story takes you through the journey of breaking bad habits so you become free for reshaping your life around Christ. 12.01.2022 This afternoon at Darwin Kath and I met with some leaders of DPC for lunch. Then Kath took them through a SWOT analysis and came up with four key point and then I took them through a Change and Transition presentation based on William Bridges classic Managing Transitions. Very encouraged for the future of DPC by the quality of the interactions. Thanks for those who are praying - the Lord is answering your prayers.

09.01.2022 This morning, Kath and I are boarding a plane to Darwin to work with and hopefully encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ in the top end. Richard and Jenny Riley are the our fellow-workers there. Please pray for us and them as we seek to serve together in promoting Christ.

08.01.2022 Day 2 of our first Church2Church conference saw another encouraging day of opening God's word, hearing stories and some fantastic workshops. Tomorrow we will visit the Creek Road Carina and Springfield campuses together.

08.01.2022 On Sunday Phil Strong was able to step in and help out the Rose City Presbyterian congregation while Dave Bailey continues to rest and recover. 03.01.2022 It’s a privilege to spend time walking with others in life and the Gospel of Jesus. As I reflect on students who have become our friends and mentorees who we get to talk about life’s joys and sorrows in ministry - we realize again how blessed we are to be invited to do what we do.
