14.01.2022 Good evening all. Due to current regulations in relation to COVID-19 we are unable to have senior presentation. It was an unfortunate way to end our season with A Grade and C Grade having great semi final wins to make it through to the the big dance only for the final weekend to be cancelled after the league was advised to call off all grand finals by both Cricket Australia and Cricket Victoria. ... It was also a tough pill to sallow for the B Grade boys going down to a stronger side in Thorpdale in the semi final. Myself and the committee would like to congratulate all award winners for their great individual seasons! We will get all awards handed out when we are able to do so. *the last awards for B and C Grades are a typo and are the Fielding award winners* *Also an award was left out of the photo with the Most Improved being awarded to Daniel Beyer *Congratulations to Brendan Mason on winning his first Gordon Bolton Award (Club Champion) Gordon Bolton top 5 1. Brendan Mason 642 pts 2. John Keighran 631 pts 3. Ryan Harvey 584 pts 4. Steve Warr 538 pts 5. Ross Johnson 487 pts

04.01.2022 The LVDCL Board met on Monday night and was able to confirm key details regarding season 2020/21; Start Dates Premier A & A Grade 17 October 2020 Floating F...ixture Premier B & B Grade 31 October 2020 16 Round Season Premier C & C Grade 7 November 2020 14 or 15 Round Season (to be confirmed) Juniors Week commencing 12 October 2020 Premier A and A grade will be played as one day only games until Christmas, with a review undertaken in December to decide if post Christmas will be one or two day games, depending on the covid-19 situation. Premier A Grade and A Grade will remain in place this season under a ‘crossover conference’ model. Two separate competitions will remain in place with two ladders and two finals series to take place. The crossover conference will see all 11 teams play each other once in a One Day match prior to Christmas with all matches counting towards each teams respective grade ladder. The pre-Christmas schedule is packed as we compress 11 rounds of cricket into ten weekends Metropolitan Based Players The current Victorian Roadmap for Reopening does not allow travel between metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria until Step 3, which is scheduled at this stage to be implemented no earlier than 26 October 2020. Whilst we have only a very small percentage of our player base that reside within metropolitan Melbourne, some clubs will be impacted by player availability through the early rounds. Players residing in metropolitan Melbourne MUST NOT play until the state government ease restrictions across metropolitan Melbourne to Step 3. The LVDCL Board will take strong action against any player and any club that breach the State Governments COVID-19 restrictions in relation to travel.

03.01.2022 !!Junior Registration!! Good afternoon everyone, Junior registration forms have been sent out via email this afternoon to all current junior players. ... With the restrictions in place until at least September 13 we are obviously unable to do any sort of training or get together. Hopefully as we get closer to that date we will be able shed some light on what the junior seasons will look like. We will start our training on Thursday nights and Saturday mornings as soon as we are allowed to do so. At this time we are still looking for more helpers/coaches to give me a hand at trainings and on game days in all age groups. If yourself or you know anyone interested in helping out this season please contact me via email [email protected] or phone on 0408740847 If you know of any other parents looking to get their kid/s involved in cricket this year please feel free to pass on my contact details and i will send them all the necessary info. I will aim to keep everyone in the loop via email and our facebook page as information comes to hand. Ryan Harvey
