14.01.2022 H U G This was Jean's first time performing the 'Hug', which is the first exercise of the short box series on the #gratz reformer. It was challenging as Jean had to use her core (powerhouse) to maintain her c-curve as she rolled back and reached through her heels at the same time. This exercise is part of the basic reformer repertoire in the classical Pilates method. That's right! The 'Hug' is part of the basic repertoire. Can you imagine what other challenging exercises are ...there in the intermediate and advanced repertoire? The classical Pilates method is layered and structured as a system that requires progressive learning and mastery.
