I have discussed this with the responsible council officer and can provide you with the following updates: Following the last summer bushfire, Council has developed the Pemulwuy Greystanes Bushfire Management Plan. In preparation for the upcoming summer, Council has implemented the actions of the plan includ...ing slashing grass along the asset protection zones Council submitted an application to the RFS for a preventative burn in the Grey Gum Reserve. If the preventative burn is approved, a community engagement program will be implemented. A report to Council is planned in October to endorse the Bushfire Management Plan and undertake further community engagement. I will update you once the report is available. And yes, we have listened to you and will work on the wetland (creek) first. (Stage 1) Civic Park is the largest park with play equipments, large sheds, tennis courts in Pendle Hill and to the suburb of Girraween. Its been heavily used by many families with kids living in the area. STAGE 1 is Wetland Revitalisation Works which include technical and visual improvements to provide an improved wetland environment. STAGE 2 is Civic Park Upgrade. This much loved park receives a very welcome restructure and refresh.

16.01.2022 The amenity block at Giraween Park will be closed for 48 hours for a deep clean after a pupil tested positive for COVID-19. The park, however, will remain open. The pupil played soccer at the park on Saturday 29 August between 11am 1pm. An authorised contact tracer from NSW Health will identify and follow up people who have had contact with the confirmed case.... All visitors who attended the park since Saturday have been advised to monitor themselves for any symptoms and get tested.
