20.01.2022 I feel pretty damn lucky to have spent years working with such talented people and to have had the opportunity to learn and grow my skillset alongside people like Kate. Kate in a phenomenal creative writer who I worked with during my years at a local newspaper where I discovered my love for design

20.01.2022 Making the effort to provide quality content for your audience is so important! It’s not about getting the next post up within a certain period of time, but it is about showing your audience that you have something of value for them! If you’re struggling with making content for your audience, remember these tips: Bright quality photography - We’re all attracted to bright appealing imagery, make sure your photos are high quality - this doesn’t mean they have to be taken by ...a professional photographer, your iPhone can do a great job, just think about lighting and incorporate natural light when taking your pics! Show your face - people like people.. and people engage with people. Let people get to know the face behind the business! Incorporate branding colours - if you can incorporate your brand colours in any graphics you post, it helps your audience recognise those colours with your brand and subconsciously they will know it’s your brand when they look at your posts, without even seeing who has posted it. Keep fonts consistent - choose a few fonts that resonate with your brand and use those consistently for any graphics. Provide value - Provide valuable content to your audience, solve their problems. Most people either sell a product or a service that they feel would benefit those who are purchasing, so talk about how you or your product can help. Make YOU shine through - You can do this in both the style of photos, graphics and also the tone you write in.

16.01.2022 Five things I’m excited about right now: The flexibility of my work - I literally get to set up and work from anywhere. While I love my little office set up, when I’m doing creative work, the best thing for me to keep inspiration flowing = fresh air + sunshine! Spring! Winter and Spring in Townsville are seriously phenomenal.... Social media content planning - I’m seriously so pumped for what’s coming up for my clients and their social media plans! The excitement of planning an upcoming holiday with girlfriends I haven’t seen in years. Spending time in the kitchen cooking amazing fresh food. I’ve always loved cooking but have recently rediscovered my love for it and find it so relaxing- lucky Geoff! See more

07.01.2022 The top 3 questions I get are 1 How can I get enough content to post regularly and consistently? 2 Should I be on both FB and IG? 3 Should I do paid ads so I can get more followers? ... My (short version) answers: 1 Once you have sat down and worked out WHO your customers/clients/followers are and WHAT their needs, pain or pleasure points are - it will be easy to create content that solves their problem. You need to nail down your niche, know who your audience is and how you can help them. 2 This one depends on a couple of things, your business, the results you’re getting on both platforms and YOUR time. If you only have enough time to spend on one platform and do it well, you’re much better off focusing on that. Choose the one you get the best engagement on and go for it! 3 Paid ads are certainly are a great tool to get your business out there, but you need to make sure you have number 1 sorted before you should do this. Paid ads will ultimately send your customer back to your page to do their research and if they don’t find anything valuable there, they’re likely to just keep scrolling. What would you ask if you were able to have a 1:1 social media consult with me? See more

07.01.2022 FOCUS Do you start to lose focus as the week rolls on? Sometimes we can get bogged down as there are less days in the week and more things on our to-do list! My top tips: Make a list Prioritise and re-order your list... Don’t skip your usual exercise, lunch breaks or self care activities because you’re ‘too busy’ - this will just make your mind foggy and less productive Set a timer for each task and try to beat it And as much as I love coffee, take it easy on the caffeine - a scattered mind isn’t productive either! 03.01.2022 Saying goodbye to ‘Happy to Help - Townsville’ and hellllllooooooo to co. Lab The new rebranded business name is a play on my initials, and the word ‘collaboration’ - which is really what I aspire to do, bring people together - whether that’s businesses with their customers or me to you. I’ll be posting some more details about what this re-brand and change means but for now, I couldn’t decide which colour combo I liked best, so... why not post all of them

02.01.2022 Sunday morning pancakes using the Nourishing Bites ‘Make at Home’ Buckwheat Pancakes mix OMG NEXT LEVEL Couldn’t resist getting the camera out! Meanwhile, Geoff was in the background saying ‘So can we eat yet?!?’ Needless to say, we definitely ate them before posting The Ratio Cocoa Roasters grated chocolate, berries and maple syrup were amazzzinnngg toppers

02.01.2022 The reason I started my business is because after working in small businesses for 13 years, I could see that there is a gigantic demand for help and expertise in social media marketing within these businesses. I’ve seen many businesses who have their receptionist or administrators run their social media, which isn’t a bad thing (that’s where I first started!!), but if that person already has a full time role, they aren’t going to be able to put the focus and attention into your social media that is required. To really stand out on social media, you need a plan or strategy and someone with the know-how to execute it consistently so your brand can thrive
