23.01.2022 Last weekend's art workshop with Georgia Mansur was a great success, in spite of the bitterly cold weather. The warmth that Georgia radiated to the students more than made up for the bleak conditions. Everyone left on Sunday inspired and energised by this amazing tutor. Thank you Georgia for making it so special.

18.01.2022 We were delighted to welcome the folk re enacting the World War 1 Kookaburra March at Cobbora Hall for lunch on Tuesday, on their way from Tooraweenah to Bathurst. The original marchers, who were part of the Cooee March recruitment marches that took place all over the State, stopped over at the hall in 1916.

12.01.2022 Just a few days to go until the centenary celebrations at Cobbora Hall. All the vintage china, cutlery, glassware and table linen is ready for the 160 people who are coming for the high tea to reunite with old friends and former neighbours and exchange stories of good old times at the hall. The Macquarie Conservatorium Players are tuned up and the beautiful vintage cars are ready to roll to Cobbora on Sunday afternoon. The weather promises to be fine. It will be a memorable day.

12.01.2022 Great country rock band John Deer (no, not John Deere) is coming to Australia to appear at Tamworth in January. But guess what ... theyve offered to do a gig at the now-world-famous Cobbora Hall. John Deer is based in Europe but is fronted by Australian Brett Reid and has a beaut playlist of classic, contemporary and original rock driven country favourites. Heres how you can help. They can only do a midweek date at Cobbora Wed 14 or Thur 15 January and were nervous abo...ut whether we can get the numbers to make it worthwhile. Were thinking of making it a come-from-work thing, maybe 5-30 - 6pm start with some DJ-ed country rock to set the scene, a barbecue or BYO family picnic, BYO turps ... and John Deer live from 7.30-ish. What we need now is an indication of interest. Who's up for a great event at, say, $20 a head plus $10 for the barbecue? Kids under 14 free. See more
