11.01.2022 Wow what an incredible turn out for the very first Colours of Italy Festival. This inaugural event proved to be far more popular than could have been anticipated with over 20,000 people coming along to support our Italian community. As a small committee of people, who volunteered their time to make this event happen we are honestly all blown away by the number of people that attended. When we set about organising the event, we were only able to secure funding to cater for 4,0...00 people and yet we had five times that come along to celebrate. As you can imagine, the huge crowds did create some issues. We want to thank you for being so supportive despite the teething problems and want you to know that we are taking all your feedback on board and will be looking at ways to ensure that next years event can cater for such big numbers. Now that we know there is such an appetite for Colours of Italy, we will be planning to make the event even better next year!

Antonietta DElia is an Italian-born, award winning opera singer based in Perth, Western Australia. Back in her home country, Antonietta graduated with high honours in Classical Voice. At the age of 23, she won one an International Opera Contest held in Italy, which made an important step in her career. Soon after, Antonietta was offered principal ...roles in several classical operas, such as The Merry Widow, Gianni Schicchi and la Traviata. Antonietta performed twice at the Vatican City (Rome) at the presence of Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI. Relocated to WA, Antonietta got soon involved with the local music scene, singing to a variety of events such as: Italian National Ball at Pan Pacific, Mission Australia Christmas Lunch, Lavazza Film Festival, Southwest Multicultural Festival Bunbury, Fremantle Street Art Festival, Perth Fringe Festival, just to name a few.
