03.01.2022 Feast Day of the Archangels in Geraldton WA On Saturday the 7th of November and Sunday the 8th of November, His Grace Bishop Elpidios of Kyaneon made his inaugu...ral visit to the Church of the Archangels to celebrate its feast day. The Church of the Archangels is located in the rural West Australian town of Geraldton, 420 kms north of Perth. This year is special for the Helenic Society of Geraldton since 2020 marks the 55th anniversary since the consecration of the Church in 1965 by Archbishop Ezekiel of Blessed Memory. On Saturday evening, His Grace presided over the Hierarchical Vespers service. Likewise, on Sunday morning, His Grace presided over the Matins and Hierarchical Divine Liturgy. At the conclusion of the Liturgy, a procession with the icon of the Archangel Michael was conducted around the church. His Grace conveyed to all the faithful the paternal blessings and love of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, who was due to preside at the service but was unable to due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. Geraldton has a long and rich history with Greek settlements back to the 1960s. Many Greeks from all over Greece settled in the town, bringing with them the reverence and dedication to the Archangel Michael. Many young families from Perth travelled to Geraldton to celebrate the feast day of the church. A lunch for all faithful and in honour of the 55th anniversary of the church was held at the completion of the service.

02.01.2022 The Consulate of Greece in Perth organised a Wreath Laying Ceremony at Kings Park State War Memorial on Sunday 25 October to commemorate the National Day of 28 October 1940, the "OXI" Day. The Wreath Laying was preceded by a Doxology at the Church of Sts Constantine and Helene's.
