24.01.2022 Good luck to our NSW Bluebirds who will face off against each other to get into the grand final tomorrow. The amount of hours these girls travelled every week to train and play is an outstanding commitment to footy and their club. Unfortunately border restrictions has meant they are unable to play in our competition. We are glad they are still able to play even it if it is for another team.

22.01.2022 There must be something in the water at Coolangatta Bluebirds. Another grand final and man of the match. Jordann Hickey joined the Birds after the AFLW season. She was a huge contributor on and off the field to our team even through injuries. Unfortunately COVID forced Hickey back to her home town. We are proud of what you have managed to achieve this year

21.01.2022 SUNDAY // we’re on! It’s a rematch of the 2016 final, we take on the Yeronga Devils for the last match of 2020 season. Our girls have pushed so hard this year despite everything 2020 has thrown at us so we can’t wait for Sunday to cap off a brilliant season. Get down to Bond Uni for a full day of women’s footy with the QAFLW development final at 12 followed by our game at 2:15pm. Will be sure to be a cracker with hopefully the same result as 2016

18.01.2022 PRE SEASON 2021 come on down to Coolangatta club rooms Wednesday 2nd of December for our induction and medical screening night. New players welcome, come and meet our coaching staff and our girls. We’ll kick off our field training the following Monday December 7th from 5.45pm Goodwin Park, Coolangatta (while our field is under construction) and Saturdays are also at Goodwin Park from 8am #bluebirds2021

09.01.2022 Friday Nights Bluebirds Awards Night saw our two main awards renamed after two of the women’s Teams Founding Members - The QAFLW Best and Fairest Will now be known as the ‘Leah Kaslar’ Medal and the QAFLW Development League B&F winner to he known as the ‘Lauren James’ medal. 06.01.2022 Congratulations to Laani Winkler who was named man of the match after winning her grand final by 2 points against Byron. Laani unfortunately had to jump ship to the Balina Bombers after border restrictions meant she was unable to play for the birds anymore this year. She managed to also poll 3rd in the league best and fairest in her short time playing in the competition. We are looking forward to having her back next year and dominating with the birds
