24.01.2022 Keeping a HEALTHY HEART... "Heart Health" is a hot topic - we hear about it in the media , from our doctors and health professionals. By keeping a healthy heart, you can reduce your risk of developing heart disease, or having a heart attack or stroke later in life. If you have had a heart attack before, making changes to keep your heart healthy will also reduce your risk of having another heart attack. There are important risk factors for developing heart disease. Some can b...e reduced through lifestyle changes, such as: Quitting smoking Exercising regularly Eating a healthy diet low in sodium and cholesterol If you are 45 years or older (30 years or older for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples) and have not had a heart attack or stroke, then you are eligible for a Heart Health Check under Medicare. This is a checkup performed by your GP, who will also help you understand your specific risk factors for heart disease.

23.01.2022 We often have clients at Coordinated Fitness who struggle with balance and agility whilst walking. Here is a great simple exercise to assist with improving these aspects, and therefore confidence with walking. Use any object you have at home as your markers (eg. shoes). If youre looking for more of a speed and agility exercise for improving performance in your sport or general fitness, then break out into a jog or run You can mix it up by adding extra markers, doing side stepping, stepping over the markers or changing the layout.

23.01.2022 My walking buddy for the morning. So great to be back out walking. Even better when my little guy comes with me. #activekids #family #exerciseismedicine #walkingaround #coordinatedfitness

22.01.2022 Time for a bit of team work! We have Claire and Megan here showing you how you can challenge your balance at home with someone to help. If you dont have a partner you can throw the ball to the wall and catch for a challenge. Even our EPs lose their balance sometimes. Watch until the end. Loe their work. #balance #coordinatedfitness

22.01.2022 If Level 1 wasnt challenging you enough yesterday, why not try level 2 up on your toes. Focus on keeping your shoulders and hips stable. And unlike Megan and Claire, decide which hand youre going to use first

10.01.2022 The sweet glaze on the turkey is a delicious contrast to the sour cherry flavours in the stuffing and gravy. The simple grain-based stuffing is packed with flavour, too.

08.01.2022 CLIENT OF THE WEEK!! This is Awesome Alison. She is awesome because she is friendly, hardworking and meticulous with her exercises. She is all about getting the job done in the clinic and she has gone from strength to strength with each session. 07.01.2022 Don’t let your failures consume you. Get back up and try again. Your mistakes should be your motivation, not your excuses. And no matter how many mistakes you make, or how slow you progress, you are still way ahead of everyone who isn’t trying.

05.01.2022 We are smiling under these masks I can assure you. Based on COVID-19 Update from the QLD Department of Health and the Chief Health Officer We are required to wear masks in consultation with our aweseome clients. So we will be rocking this new lovely fashion look when you see us in the clinic.... If you want to be a cool cat like us, please let us know as we have them available for your use to. For ease of flow in the clinic if you want to pay before your session and leave via the door in the new area that would be great. If you need to sign your NDIS , Medicare or DVA attendance we will have these folders at the back desk. One of your EPs will have you sign there before you see Kerri. We are doing our best to keep congestion down in the waiting area. Once again the Coordinated Fitness Team thank you for your support of us over this challenging time. We will continue to offer all our services just now with health/fashion accessories .
